11:00 a.m. - – After a bustling week of 'firing up' the Democratic base in backyard chats and rallies, President Obama will spend the weekend off the trail and out of the fray at Camp David with first lady Michelle Obama and daughters Sasha and Malia.
The brief respite comes as the 2010 midterm elections loom ever closer, and both Obama and Vice President Joe Biden are scheduled to hit the campaign trail yet again next week.
Thurday Obama heads to Prince George's County, Maryland for Gov. Martin O'Malley and then to Chicago to attend an event for Senate candidate Alexi Giannoulias. And Biden will more than double that effort, heading to Ohio, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Missouri, and Washington state.
But there were no indications of a stressful week ahead as the casually-dressed first couple departed the White House south lawn in sunny, but brisk 60 degree weather. They celebrate their 18th wedding anniversary this weekend but will also host a retreat for Cabinet members and their families Sunday.

The toughest job in the country? That honor guard Marine by the steps. He has to keep a straight face & resist the temptation to stick out his foot to trip the POTUS as he comes & goes from BLINGCHOPPER 1. Fortunately our US Marines are among the finest men & women who have dedicated their lives to making sure losers like the POTUS & FLOTUS have the freedom to waste other people's time and money. I salute that Marine and do not envy his assignment one bit.

He should be back at his desk working on the economy. He the laziest President I have ever seen...constantly on vacation or going to vacation. Meanwhile the rest sit here absolutely misery going deeper debts thanks to his ill advised stimulus programs that produce ZERO NEW JOBS! He is due for one big wake up call on November 2nd! After a hard week of trying to destroy America the "One" and his family really do deserve a week off.
President Obama is one of the hardest working presidents ever. He and his family need time togeather. The peple who complaine are the same ones who wanttime with their families. Look how much he does in one day. They are a great family and represent the American people well. They are grat parents and set a fine example. Besides a vacation for the president does not mean he is un aware of what is going on in the world. They actually live their christian values.
He deserves the time off, running the country into the ground is hard work.

Both Michelle and Barack are boors. I can hardly wait until they are gone. I don't care about any of their birthdays, anniversaries, or anything else. I just care for the day they are not in the White House.
