Washington (CNN) - Sharron Angle of Nevada and five other Republican Senate nominees are headed to the nation's capitol Tuesday to team up with top Republicans to raise campaign cash for their bids for the Senate.
According to an invitation acquired by CNN, the fundraiser will include two special guests: Sen. John Cornyn of Texas, the chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, and Sen. Scott Brown of Massachusetts, who has become an in-demand GOP surrogate, thanks to his upset victory in January's special election to fill the final two years of the term of the late Democratic Sen. Ted Kennedy.
Kelly Ayotte of New Hampshire, John Boozman of Arkansas, Dan Coats of Indiana, Dino Rossi of Washington State and Marco Rubio of Florida are the other Republican nominees attending the fundraiser.
But it's Angle more than any of the other candidates who may be in the spotlight Tuesday, thanks to the release of an audiotape of a recent conversation she had with Scott Ashjian, a third party Senate candidate in Nevada whom Angle was hoping to convince to drop out of the race against Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.
According to the audio tape, which was first reported by the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Angle criticizes the Republican Party for lacking standards and principles.
Republican Party leaders "have lost their principles" Angle said during the session, adding they only are reluctantly supporting her after defeating the favored candidate in the June primary.
Ashjian confirmed the authenticity of the tape to CNN Sunday night.
Angle, who is a strong supporter of the Tea Party movement, was once a longshot but came out on top in Nevada's June primary, thanks in part to the backing and assistance of the Tea Party Express, a California-based national Tea Party group.

come to think, everyone in that group is the spitting image of sharron angle.......cowards, hypocrites, traitors, evil, unamerican, rotten to the core and let us not forget the likes of miller, odone, paul et al.
Please keep her there! We are tired of her "Queen of Denial" statements about what she has said. If the Republicans have any credibility, they will not give her more funds after her latest remarks. Oops! I forgot that she will deny that she said them.
Little piggies to the trough.
The TEA Party is about smaller, more RESPONSIBLE government.......................this includes RINO's......the TEA PARTY is an equal opportunity movement as many establishment RINO's learned during the primaries and many Dems will learn in November.
