Toomey reports biggest fundraising haul yet

(CNN) - Pennsylvania GOP Senate nominee Pat Toomey has out-raised his Democratic opponent for each of the first three quarters of 2010, according to fundraising numbers released by both campaigns Tuesday.

Toomey brought in $3.8 million in the third quarter, bringing his total individual contributions to $14 million. His third quarter haul represents his biggest fundraising quarter since launching his campaign in April 2009.

Democratic Rep. Joe Sestak raised $3.2 million from July to September.

Toomey out-raised Sestak in the second quarter by over $1 million; in the first quarter, Toomey's $2.3 million fundraising tally doubled Sen. Arlen Specter's $1.1 million. Specter went on to lose his Democratic primary bid to Sestak.

Toomey has raised twice as much money as Sestak in this election cycle.

A slew of polls out of the commonwealth have Toomey leading Sestak by anywhere from 3 to 9 percentage points. A CNN/Time/Opinion Research Corporation poll released two weeks ago put Toomey's lead at 5 points.

–CNN Deputy Political Director Paul Steinhauser contributed to this report.

Thanks to his Big $ Lobbyist cronies. Gee no wonder the Fundamentalist Conservatives on the Supreme Court wanted to overturn 100 years of protection so their Republican pals can get as much as they want from special interests and foreign corporations.

  4. The reality is...

Bring back the Republicans with a Tea Party slant. We want less government control and the Republicans know if they don't come through when they have control of congress they will be booted out again.

Biden is the most arrogant politician in Washington. His arrogance combined with Rahm's foul mouth, and Obama's cigarette habit is enough to make us ill as they tramp around the country campaigning for their comrades. The Republican Party is not perfect, for sure, but they stand far above the Chicago style politicians we presently suffer under. Oh you say, "buck up?" That's equivalent to saying, "the beatings will stop when the morale around here improves".

Just another guy hoping to buy the election. Isn't that what all of these Republicans are trying to do since the Supreme Court handed them the way to do it.

No doubt Toomey's buddies on Wall Street are the major contributors. He is definitely NOT for the middle class or for those of us who are retired and lost a major portion of our retirement benefits for lack of oversight of Wall Street. Toomey thought Bush was a great president. That is how much he is out of touch with reality. He vs. a true American hero in Sestak.

Were still wondering about that secret "Illegal" deal that Sestak admitted to but refuses to talk about.
