Clinton laughs off VP rumors

(CNN) – Hours after White House press secretary Robert Gibbs poured cold water on the notion Hillary Clinton may take the VP slot ahead of the 2012 election, the secretary of state followed suit.

"I don't believe what I read," Clinton said laughing during an appearance at the 12th Annual Fortune Most Powerful Women Summit, adding: "I have absolutely no interest and no reason for doing anything other than just dismissing these stories and moving on."

"I think the vice president is doing a wonderful job. He is a great friend of mine," she continued. "We work together closely. He's an expert on foreign policy, chaired the Foreign Relations Committee in the Senate. We have a great relationship."

Rumors of a potential switch in jobs between Vice President Joe Biden and Clinton were stoked by veteran Washington Post reporter Bob Woodward during an interview with CNN's John King Tuesday.

  1. victim of democrat hypocrisy

The behind-the-scenes dems are soooo transparent. Every year they float a new idea on how to get Hillary into the White House. Then they get some left-wing mouthpiece like Woodward to take to the airwaves claiming "There is buzz in D.C. about this idea..." Bull. It's the power brokers merely testing the public waters to see if the latest wacky idea has legs.

HILLARY WILL NEVER BE PREZ. Get used to it.

I saw an interesting bumper sticker the other day:
"We put the car in D and drove into a ditch. We need to put it in R to get us out."
