Conservative group uses humor in political ad

(CNN) - An influential social conservative organization is using humor in a new television commercial to try and convince voters that a handful of House Democrats are responsible for helping to expand government and placing a burden on everyday Americans.

"Woke up this morning and it was there, big government on my back," an actor brushing his teeth says to the camera as a suited man clings to his back. "It's a huge problem. It's affecting everyone."

The Family Research Council Action PAC is spending $125,000 over the next two weeks to run the ad on cable news against Reps. John Boccieri of Ohio, Gabrielle Giffords of Arizona, Betsy Markey of Colorado, Tom Perriello of Virginia and Carol Shea-Porter of New Hampshire.

The ad against Boccieri is running in the four other congressional districts.

2-faced hypocrisy. Nobody takes more $ from the special interest group lobbyists than the GOP. Boener even admitted to handing–out $ from lobbyists on the House floor. The only ones that have been serious about reform are the Dem's.

How low will they go. Since the President took office all Republicans have been saying is "NO" to everything, EVERYTHING! And now they want to pass blame to the Dems for spending the previous 8 years destroying our nation. How do they sleep at night? To make matter worse, Dems will most likely sit on their butt Nov 2nd as they often do in mid-terms and just let them back into power. Do not cry when you wake up Nov 3rd and Republicans are back in power....GET OUT AND VOTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did he have a strangle hold on his neck with his left arm while his right hand was in the guys back pocket? Sure sounds like he has a bad case of "Obozo wealth redistribution" to me!

Of course, this guy deserved it though because he dared to go to work every day to make a buck. Most likely one of those criminal capitalists that employees millions of Americans. He must be destroyed.

RepubliCAN'Ts laugh because they're on their way to the bank to deposit the money they get from the BIG CORPORATIONS for doing them favors after they get elected – you know, PRIVATIZATION on everything they could imagine!!!!

Jeez!!! I cannot see how Americans fall for their whole agenda!!!

DEMOCRATS – Laugh back at them and show WE can LAUGH too while we expose them and their special interest!!!

What Democrats fail to realize is that their economic policies and expansion of government crush the private sector. The tax cuts are not unfunded, you simply downsize useless government positions that create nothing but bureaucracy in the private sector and a non-sustainable tax burden in perpetuity to pay for healthcare plans and pension retirement plans that are totally unavailable through any employer on the private side. I continually ask myself why should we be working our butts off to provide a bunch of bureaucrats something that none of us will ever have, healthcare and pension plans. Big business and Wall Street are the winners either way these elections go, they profit and big government profits off of them, while we in the middleclass are crushed with fees and taxes. I say let's dump this liberal progressive philosophy of needing government to provide us all, let's dump this conservative attitude that you can regulate morality and start taking our Nation back. The first cut should be to Congresses benefits and pension plans, they have failed us and therefore they should not automatically reap the rewards of OUR labor. Think of how much money and fuel is wasted annually around the Nation to bus kids to schools so they meet some politically correct agenda, how much money could you redistribute to schools to teach if that stupidity were eliminated. Put some common sense back into our government!

Well, what do they want to be - those that are of fiscal restraint or save the country from going down the financial toilet? It can't be done. If they had paid for Medicare part D, their bloated spending and No Child Left Behind, then there would be less of a problem. I have to say that these conservatives are hypocritical because they don't want governement to do anything and then complain when there is so little response during a disaster.

The add is so true it hurts for Dems to hear. By the way Democrats have had the majorities to do whatever they have wants over GOP objections no matter what kind of lies have been spun. What has been proven since the Democrats took over in January 2007 is they are great agitators but horrendous leaders. We need some new leaders that can actually govern.

Excuse me, the Democrats have had the majority in House and Senate for four years. It would seem to me that whether Republicans voted NO on every bill that hit legislation there are still enough votes to pass it should all democrats vote yes. Thankfully, there are enough Democrats of old that realize a pig in lipstick when they see one, bad policy is bad policy. In business if a strategy fails you change strategy to succeed, something this President and followers failed to learn as community organizers. However, if the hidden agenda is succeeding then carry on, makes you wonder what the true agenda is now doesn't it?

Republicans are accepting money from other countries funneled through various groups to win this election. This money is coming from countries where our jobs were moved. Anyone that votes republican has been lied to. If you love your country vote Democrat. Why let a foreign country decide our election.

"Why Democrats are going negative" -Ed Rollins

Shut up Ed, you partisan hack. It's really quite simple and can be explained in one sentence: Because it's actually worked so freekin well for the GOP.

We've spent 2+ years listening to NOTHING BUT NEGATIVITY from the GOP. No ideas, no compromises, not even anything that could be called consistent truth...fabrications like "death panels," completely nonsensical McCarthyism and the ad nauseum misapplication of the word "socialism," rampant demagoguery, fearmongering about Muslims and Mexicans, etc. etc., the list goes ON AND ON AND ON AND ON. It's about time the Dems started fighting back...fire with fire...instead of acting like spineless turds and laughing off the GOP's idiocy as obviously absurd and clearly too dangerous, damaging and false to be taken seriously. It IS taken seriously. Large portions of the population either uncritically believe everything thse demagogues spout because they are considered authority figures in their tribe OR because they don't have the intelligence and education and INFORMATION (which, btw, is almost exclusively controlled by giant corporations...and we know how they feel about GOPer economic ideology) to defend themselves from it. Your "Opinion" is yours to have all you want, Mr. Rollins, but it's complete bunk and a blatant attempt to use more of the "mirror image accusation" strategery ("I know you are buit what am I?") that forms the corner of your tribe's policy arguments.

Imagine... receiving your WHOLE PAYCHECK, and then only paying taxes on what you consume.

    Sounds crazy doesn't it?

That way, EVERYONE would pay taxes... illegals, the mafia, drug dealers, pr0$t!tute$...

There would be no need for the IRS... no need for congress to play favorites with YOUR MONEY.

Imagine... this year's federal budget being limited to NO MORE THAN what they took in in the previous year's tax haul... in other words, they could spend no more than what they "earned" in taxes the previous year (and could not deficit spend)

    Imagine...

If you want to see what REAL prosperity looks like... what REAL job growth looks like... what REAL economic recovery looks like, keep imagining and only vote for those who will turn those imaginations into reality. Or as I like to call it, "doing what the founding fathers actually intended."

The RNC is great at one thing: marketing. Democrats suck at it. Why would anyone want Republicans running the nation again? People want services that we pay for and Republicans don't support services. They want to privatize the Veterans Administration! How many veterans want KBR (Halliburton) running the VA? They want to dismantle Social Security and Medicare – services that we invest a portion of our paycheck in! We also pay for unemployment insurance and they accuse us of being lazy if we lose our jobs and need to use that insurance! These are social programs, not socialism. But they market that by repeating it often and loud. Thanks, but no thanks!

Odd how the clowns who tout socialism at every opportunity blend it with so many distortions and lies you know right away it's just stereo type based malicous slander without any real thought to what the are saying. Like saying all black mothers are sinlge and on welfare, or that liberals hate America, or that governement workers are lazy, that women don't really want to work, science doesn't matter. And in the same breath they say the support our troops – or police and fire fighters, or judges – who are of course "government workers". And BTW – libs do love America, but they do hate the conservative fanatsy of America. Where every American greats each other with "I got mine, screw you". And all the roads never have pot-holes, no one pays taxes, everyone has the same skin color, the same religion, eats only vanilla ice-cream, the sick die quickly, and everyone works for less than the minimium wage – everyone except them of course.

Big government on your back? So, the Family Research Council doesn't want big government telling them what to do? Well, unless you're a woman of course...they have no problem with telling people what to do in their own bedrooms. The FRC thinks they should be able to dictate their idea of morality to everyone. I don't want the FRC on my back, in my bedroom, making me personal or medical decisions, and certainly not handling my finances. Keep your greedy pseudo-Christian paws off!

WHAT WENT WRONG? The Republicans decided early on to destroy President Obama and in the process take America down
too. Just read the hate that exudes from some of these bloggers. So, if and when the haters take back Congress, and
they tangle with the tea party nut cases, and America's economy goes belly up, more people will suffer, except the
self-centered republicans who care not one iota for America, you will only have yoursleves to blame while you are standing
alongside me in the food line. The Limbaughs, Palins, Bachmanns, etc of the world will stab you in the back, will
crush the republican'ts, and the racist haters will shout with glee. These people have no answers, they are mean,
self-centered, classless, selfish, and yes ignorant, and if you let them, they will destroy the best of America and blame
everybody else. ANGRY? You bet I am. This mess is getting totally out of hand, and no one will listen. Maybe
the Democrats don't have all the answers, but the you-know-whos have no answers. So, don't wave the flag in my face
while screaming obcenities-don't sing loudest in Church while you feed the Devil's offering plate with your hateful words-
don't tell me our soldiers are dying and you care while you look to "privatize" Veterans care-don't tell me you care
that children are starving while you feed your face with all the goodies of the World and deny these kids health care
and food and shelter, because the Government is "too Big". It's not too big for that Alaska guy to take farm subsidies
for six years, its not too big for Congress to ;have the perfect health care plan, its not too big to pay them lifetime
benefits for very little work. So, buck up you ninnies and see the big picture!!

Hey 27, I see you spewimg stupid again. How about waking up and opening your eyes. The repukes spent themselves out of office. The repukes admit to looking out for big business. The repukes are the ones looking out for the top 2% (millionaires) that will put nearly $4 trillion on to the defecit. Try actually looking things up instead of just listening to the blowhards like rush, beck and hannity using their talking points.

"Sure sounds like he has a bad case of "Obozo wealth redistribution" to me!"

Anything's better than the past 5 decades of watching all the wealth be redistributed to the already wealthy. That is PRECISELY what has happened while we've been fapping ourselves silly by applying the randian, trickle-down reaganomic voodoo-ideology LIE. The NUMBERS and MATH do not lie. They prove that the wealth gap has expanded exponentially while the middle-class has shrunk and the low-income demographic has grown...that people are now economically constrated and crushed by overwhelming consumer/education/home debt while their salaries have SHRUNK. People like you just don't get it. Nobody resents a man making millions for his successful business acumen and hard work. What is WRONG is that man making millions for his successful business acumen, his hard work AND the successful business acumn and hard work of his employees, who he stiffs like they're his indentured servant wh-res. THAT is what is wrong with this country. THAT is why the wealth needs to be RE-RE-DISTRIBUTED. THAT is why we have a government that is unresponsive to the vast majority of Americans' needs and suffering. THAT is the ONLY correction that will save this country from sinking. It is NOT socialism. It is FUNDAMENTAL FAIRNESS...a concept upon which our country was founded. Cry all you want, but when our valuation of corporate profit and greed-is-good capitlism have so outweighed our valuation of the worth and well-being of our fellow man, it's time for the scales to be righted.

"It's a huge problem! It's affecting everyone!" and it was created by the Republicans who made this whole mess!
Republicans wrapped themselves in family values, religiosity, patriotism, less government, smaller budgets – then turn right around and doubled governments' budget in the 6 years they had control of both houses; they've led the way in scandalous behavior, breaking the backs of the middleclass while stealing for the rich who now denounce their GOP party and their own citizenship in order to take their hordes of stolen taxpayers' money and move to another country where they won't have to pay their fair share of U.S. taxes – as if they ever did. Republicans – the party of haters, cheats, lyers, thieves and hypocrites. The GOP isn't a political party – it's a ponzi/pyramid scheme. When in power, they appoint people to the higher eschelan jobs (like Bush did in Texas), who immediately muck them up cause they don't have experience and bankrupt states; First Nixon screwed us, then Reagon, Then Bush and every time a Republican was in office up up up went the deficit, starting with Nixon, balooning with the rape of the 80s under Reagon – can we remember junk bonds? Come on, every fraud from Insurance to Enron to Iraq, AIG and Wall street was pulled off by crooked Republicans. If you want to save this country vote straight Democrat. You want to go back to the people who created this mess?!!! Then you're another idiot, which really is the operative word when it comes to nitwit independants. What a bunch of idiots. Republicans have destroyed our nation and our environment. Wake up people – quit the Greatest pyramid scheme of them all – the GOP! Oh and one more thing, the headline is mis-leading – I believe that was not humor but hate disguised as humor, let's face it, Republicans have no vision and certainly NO humor!
27 days until we take back this country once and for all and let the Dems run it prosperously like Clinto did, for EVERYONE! – one nation under God, INDIVISIBLE with liberty and justice and marriage for ALL!

What is important at this minute. The most important thing happening now and is not being mentioned is that obama and the doj head eric holder have opened Arizona up to being sued by 10 latin america countries over their "illegal Immigration" policies, they even encouraged it. The most liberal 9th circuit of appeals court has stated these 10 countries have the right to intervene in our legal system by letting them also go after Arizona. What has this administration done to this country and the big question is can we undo everything this administration and the demorats have done to this country. This November it is time for us to "kick" every demorat out of office and do it again in 2012.

You know, I'm getting sick of the "tax and spend liberals" and "liberals expanding big government" nonsense. And what are conservatives for, I have to ask. Well, for starters, they want government in our doctors' offices and bedrooms. If that isn't an inappropriate expansion of government, I don't know what is. These people are a joke. And a danger to our democracy.

@27 Days until Socialism dies in the United States – all you have is "Obozo," which just make you look like a clown? Redistribution of wealth? Please explain further? Does that mean my sister's deadbeat redneck ultra-conservative white boyfriend on unemployment for more than a year, sitting at home bored to death because he's not even looking for work? I guess you could say he's taking advantage of your "redistribution of wealth," for sure.
