(CNN) – National Senate Democrats are up with two ads targeting Republican candidates in Colorado and Missouri Wednesday, the latest sign both parties are now firing at a feverish pitch with less than four weeks until Election Day.
In the new Colorado spot, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee says Republican Ken Buck wants to spend billions on corporate giveaways while cutting social programs like social security and aide to students.
"The more you hear, the more you wonder," the ad states of Buck. The spot comes the same day Republicans released an ad that portrays Buck's opponent, incumbent Sen. Michael Bennet, as a tax-and-spender in the pocket of Washington Democrats.
In the Missouri spot, the DSCC says Republican candidate Roy Blunt, a longtime congressman, has a clear record of supporting big business and encouraging the shipment of jobs overseas.
"It's us versus them, and Roy Blunt works for them," the ad states.
Blunt faces Democrat Robin Carnahan, the current Missouri secretary of state and scion of a famous political family. Polls show Blunt is maintaining a single digit lead.
