Boehner blasts Democrats in hometown speech

(CNN) – House Republican Leader John Boehner thrashed Democrats' handling of the economy in a campaign speech from his hometown Friday, framing the midterm elections as a referendum on another two years of the same Democratic policies or a GOP he vowed would get people back to work.

The Ohio Republican, who is poised to be speaker of the House should the GOP regain control of that body, told a crowd of supporters, "This speech is about jobs, because this coming election is about jobs."

Is it all about jobs, Mr. Boehner? So to be clear, the government should stay out of our lives -but wait- needs to be responsible for private sector job creation? Yet another GOP contradiction.

Talk is cheap Mr. Boehner. Put your money where your mouth is and by the way your party may have the support of both blue and white collar workers who are white....your party still lags behind when it comes to minority vote and also remember come 2050 this country is going to be predominatly minority. You republicans will have your work cut out for you then......BIG TIME.

After today's unemployment numbers definitely people who want to work, take care of their families will agree with Boehner. Of course, those that disagree are those lazy bombs who are sucking our government dry and don't care if we end up in bankruptcy and everyone ends up unemployed, broke and homeless.

Nothing can be more disrespectful than having Congressmen, like Boehner, do absolutely nothing. Please, don't be so insulting Mr. Boehner....it's obvious that your intentions are not on jobs but on political power. The word, Speaker must be music to your ears.
By the way, are you still passing out checks from the tobacco companies to your fellow Republicans?

Just when you think that the orange man can't get any more dumb he opens his mouth again? Does he and the crowd in Ohio who listened to him (how many attended?) realize that he IS PART OF THE PROBLEM and OUT OF CONTROL? This man has been in DC for 20 years. President Obama has been President for two years.
Yes, bvoner, YOU are disrespecting yourself, your family and your job and let me add the whole human race with half a brain. YOU ARE THE PROBLEM!!!

Wow! That's so unlike him. NOT!! Just think how far along we would be if these right wing power hungry fools would have helped instead of just watched. If they truely cared more for this country then they do for power and kick backs (from big oil, wall street and the pharmecutical companies) they would have helped but didn't. Remember the day after the election when they were taken out of office? Their comments were we need to do whatever to take back the country. Not do what ever to help the american citizen. And there lies the difference between the parties.

Thanks to Obama making Boehener a house hold name he could be our next President. The Administration attacked him and he beat them at their own game. I notice Obama doesn't even mention John's name anymore. Boehener whipped them pretty good.

If it was really about jobs, the lying republican scum suckers would have supported job creating bills. THEY DID NOT! The orange man must have been over served at the nineteenth hole again, as his words contradict his actions.

    Poor, old, tanned Boehner.
Wall Street was right. Global warming does not exist. Stop healthcare reform. Evolution is wrong.
Palin is great. 8 years of Bush management was good for the country. Iraq was right. And so on.
This little guy would be the greatest embarrasment and joke in the rest of the world as speaker.

Yes, it is about jobs. The jobs Obama saved in the Auto Industry, the jobs saved for state and federal workers, and the thousands of jobs created by private industry. It is also about the jobs the Republicans still want exported to China, and the jobs bills Republicans refuse to allow to come to a vote. It is about the jobs where Republicans want wages lowered, or the minimum wage done away with. It is also about the unemployment compensation Republicans want to end. It is about union jobs, and the unions themselves that Republicans wish to crush. Working people shouldn't vote against their best interests by voting Republican!

“Boehner, along with Newt Gingrich and several other Republican lawmakers, was one of the engineers of the Contract with America in 1994 miss lead us in 1994 that helped catapult Republicans into the majority in Congress for the first time in four decades.”
    From John Andrew Boehner WIKI

Rep. Boehner tells us that we are fed up with Washington Political structure. He is top Republican in the House. He is part of the Political structure. I'm a registered Independent. The Republican-Democratic parties failed me. The two party system failed. No party seems to know how to fix anything. They just want re-elected to keep the $$$$ rolling in. Mean while we suffer.

    Re-elect Nobody.........................

Boner said "This speech is about jobs, because this coming election is about jobs." If he thinks republicans and "The White Annoying Teabagger" party will creat jobs with their tax cuts for the rich then this bone head is pulling another boner.

It's hard for him to think about jobs since he is only going to say no to everything and not offer any new solutions. It's the same old tired speech all of the time.

Do let's talk jobs, Boehner. You've told us ad nauseum what Obama has not done to create jobs. Telling us what YOU have done to create jobs. . . not so much.

And what has Boehner done? NOthing but vote against tax relief for American small businesses. His disastrous approach would only create $700 Billion more debt for the same ole Bush tax cuts for the rich and another Hooverville Depression for the middle class. No thanks!

  25. Randolph Carter, I'm no expert, but...

I dunno, I think the Republicans had a great jobs plan. The global war on Terror (TM) can be prolonged indefinitely by constantly redefining who and where "terrorists" are. Lots of career opportunities in killing the brown people for their natural resources. And the beauty of it is that it will be prolonged forever because this is the American military we're talking about. They haven't won a war in 65 years or so. Have a nice day!
