(CNN) - Nevada GOP Senate nominee Sharron Angle told a crowd of Tea Party rally-goers last week that two cities — Dearborn, Michigan and Frankford, Texas — are under Sharia law, the sacred law of Islam.
“We're talking about a militant terrorist situation, which I believe isn't a widespread thing, but it is enough that we need to address, and we have been addressing it,” Angle said according to audio of the rally obtained by the Washington post. “My thoughts are these. First of all, Dearborn, Michigan, and Frankford, Texas, are on American soil, and under Constitutional law. Not Sharia law. And I don't know how that happened in the United States.”
The problem? Well, Frankford, Texas doesn’t really exist.
CNN went to Texas to investigate, check out the video after the jump:
Dallas annexed the city in 1975 and all that remains is a church and cemetery, as a camera crew for CNN’s John King USA found out when they visited on Friday.
Dearborn Mayor Jack O’Reilly told the Associated Press that Angle’s comments were “shameful” and “totally irresponsible.”
Angle’s campaign did not respond to CNN’s request for a comment.

Typical example of the GOP/Tea Party approach to everything....lies!
Low IQ is running for senate And I don't know how that happened in the United States
How can the republican tea baggers get away with just lying? I can not understand how the tea baggers got on the ticket based on nothing but lies. Sahron, chistine, buck, damn how did we get here?
Just like the rest of the tea baggers... lie, cheat, manipulate the public in attempts to win. Pathetic.
these people have no idea what words can actually do. They ramble crap for the spotlight and don't think about the consequences. That is the dangerous part.
Koo Koo, Koo Koo
'Shameful and totally irresponsible' along with non stop lies is all the tea baggers have. The right wingnuts are raking in foreign money in this election with promises to keep sending our jobs overseas. As long as the baggers can keep the fragile uneducated from finding the truth before Nov. 2, they think they are going to be OK. If republicans were smart, they would denounce the stupidity of Angle, Paul, Miller, Paladino, Brewer, Rick Scott, Rubio, Palin, and O'Donnell.
