American Crossroads to Obama: Keep it coming

(CNN) - President Obama's attacks on Karl Rove and conservative outside organizations could be firing up someone's base: Rove's.

An official with American Crossroads, the conservative third party organization Rove advises, and its affiliate, Crossroads GPS, claimed they received $30,000 in unsolicited online donations this Sunday alone. Crossroads GPS is not legally required to disclose its donors. The official says the contributions were almost all small dollar gifts over the internet accompanied by notes encouraging the group to push back on the president.

Appearing on Fox News Sunday, Karl Rove refuted attacks from the president and the Democratic National Committee that his group and the chamber of commerce were bending campaign finance laws. That seemed to fire up at least one contributor. A woman who identified herself as a housewife sent in $100 online and wrote, "Great pushback just now on Fox News Sunday, Mr. Rove! I'm sick of the bullying by the Dems- it has gone on too long without fighting back!"

One American Crossroads official expressed some amazement at the uptick in donations – explaining that its unusual because the group hasn't made an online fundraising pitch. The official says "its all incoming".

Steven Law, American Crossroads' President and CEO, says he believes the president's campaign rhetoric is firing up conservatives because "people see it as an abuse of power, which is what they already dislike about the current regime in Washington."

His group went out of its way to tell CNN the $30,000 that came in Sunday was from "all 100% American donors".

That's a reference to allegations that the US Chamber of Commerce has allowed contributions from foreign sources to fund its domestic political efforts – a violation of election law if proven to be true.

Obama has made this an issue on the campaign trail. At a Philadelphia rally Sunday, the president said, "The American people deserve to know who is trying to sway their elections" adding "you don't know...it could even be foreign-owned corporations."

American Crossroads did not supply CNN with a total number of contributions over the weekend.

    Democrats Beware!
Do you remember George W. Bush? He is the guy all of you said was dumber than dirt. If memory serves me correctly, George W. Bush, with Carl Rove's help, kicked your butt TWICE.
If I were you, I would be real careful about picking a fight with Carl Rove. Especially when you consider how the Democrats are burdened by the empty suit that is now sitting in the White House.

Rove is the engineer of the GOP smear campaigns, propaganda, and its hate filled campaign of misinformation.
He is the opposite of what America stands for, and the enemy of mankind.

This is why people have doubts with their contributions. Why don't they put everything on the limelight and everybody could see.
Everyone with a right reasoning can smell corruption at its best!

Sick of the bullying from the Dem's; oh an Acorn was not bullying for the Right wing. But again we should just believe the right wing that already called for the president to fail which equates to the country failing also, Yes their are some of us who wonders did that mean at any means necessary including selling the country out? Acorn had a slight doubt and was place under the watchful eye of the general public via the News outlets, Why would we not want to know right now and for sure that the US Chamber of Commerce has allowed contributions from foreign sources to fund its domestic political efforts – a violation of election law if proven to be true. Most people without Conspiracy could wonder how can you clearly separate the money in a General pool? Now this is NEWS? not like the proven Acorn story and look at the attention it received, So the President may have repeated what the New outlets had already started to report so give credit where it is DUE!!!

I love it, the American people are getting tired of obama's and the liberal media's attacks on American citizens. That's it lame brained liberal media, keep attacking with baseless charges and the people will send even more money to conservative organizations.

The “right” is really disgusting! If people vote for them it is their own fault. They cannot say later, they have been misled! The GOP/TP says very clearly what they are for – and that is not for you. Because, when it is for YOU, they say NO!
The tragedy is that all (except 2%) will suffer under such a group of unable, greedy, nasty, and lying now still candidates. Please, people, go out and vote! But, vote informed, responsible and smart.

Unbelievable. Those who are responsible for the destruction of our economy, now claim that they can fix it. Can anyone with any brain at all buy this?

  13. The reality is...

What about the unknown sources of contributions to Obama's campaign? What about the closed door "negotiations" during the "health care" pay-offs? What about Obama's agenda to destroy this nation by imposing his Marxist agenda? Come on, this guy is desperate to do as much damage to this nation as he can before he is voted out. Let's just hope he and the rest of his liberal regime don't push us so far over the edge that we can't recover.

I'm sp sick of liars and cheats, which is what Carl Rove has proven he is time and time again. The Republicans do not care a thing about housewives, only their money and vote. If, the party of corporations and the wealthy take control, you will once again see what bullying by an administration is. Just like Bush and Chenny saying over and over they did not care what the people wanted they were going to do what they wanted, "SO WHAT" the famouns Dick Chenney reply to the question that Americans did not approve of their actions.

These repugs resolve to kindergarden name calling and emty rederics trying hard as hell not to tell the american people where their donation are coming from. These are the same people who bitch about back room deals and transparency. Now the shoes is on the other foot they want to blow smoke in the public eye because they know alot of conservative dont give a dam about reasoning and logic and will follow them no matter the cost to american souverenty.

There were probably a small number of $2k-$5k donations - that'd be considered a "small" amount to these guys. Heck, $5k-$10k would be small to them. Face it, Turd Blossom, you & your GOP buddies support billiionaires at the expense regular Americans, and don't think we don't know it.

I'd think the American people deserve an apology by Obama on this one. Whether Obama knew it was false or not, he's held responsible for the charges he's made. Democrats are showing their extreme desperation with their current strategy. Then again, it's hard to campaign on successes when they have very little to claim. When I voted in the last election I was looking for real change. I was duped as were millions of other people. I will not be making the same mistake again with Obama and the Democrats. At least not for a long time.

  19. 8 Years of having a drunken driver at the wheel put America in the ditch, why would working Americans return the keys to the crowd drinking at the same bar?

"His group went out of its way to tell CNN the $30,000 that came in Sunday was from "all 100% American donors".

There are to "Americas" North and South.

You have still proved that the donations were not foreign.

Well, maybe missy and the witch are not aware they are to separate continents, so maybe you did prove to those 2it is money from 'real "Mericuns".

The accusations that even the Chamber of Commerce is using foreign money to run political ads is a bogus claim and is in contradiction to the Obama 2008 political race that had money coming from Unions, Billionaires of questional character, and every foreign country imaginable without any accounting by the Obama Group. Wall Street was a much bigger contributer toObama than to McCain.

Rove is real proof that Americans are so determine to undermine anything that President Obama does that he and his Republican base would rather destroy America than support anything this President stand for. Is it really worth destroying America? This black male will not be President forever. Republicans claim to be concern for future generation. Yet they (Republicans and CNN are willing to destroy America all because they can not accept the fact that a man of color is running the country. Bigotry is on the rise. What bigots fail to realize is that sooner or later the tide will turn on everyone as bigotry has no boundaries. Surely the majority of the people who are supporting Rove are not nearly as wealthy as he and his Republican goons are. People need to wake-up and realize that they are not that far from poverty. Do they think for one moment that Rove or any of those filthy rich Republicans will be concerned about this generation or the next. People wake up before its too late. If you really want to get the facts stick with Olbermann or Maddow. CNN is a bogus network with news people who distort the truth and push the sale of their books.

Obummie is the biggest liar his Allah put breathe in. He lied on the health care bill, stimulus and anything he talks about. He is screwing seniors again by not giving social security raises. This has happened only twice since cost of living increases started in 1975. Both screwings have come under Obummie. Americans are finally waking up to his lies and his dumbocraps will go down in flames in November. He is one and done !!!

What a joke - he is sick of bullying by the Democrats. We had way too many years of that exact tactic from him. So what, he has gotten some monies. After reading all the bulldog attacks on this President, we are aware there are a lot of tactless, cruel Americans out there. These types, such as Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, are making millions off of folk who are reactionary and don't evaluate the facts. Also, some prejudiced people will contribute to the likes of Rove.
