Fiorina: Palin is qualified to be president

(CNN) – Carly Fiorina, the Republican Senate candidate in California gifted Sarah Palin a high compliment on Monday.

"I certainly think she's qualified to be president of the United States," Fiorina said in an interview on CNN's The Situation Room.

But when the former Alaska governor, who endorsed Fiorina in the primary race, visits California Saturday with Michael Steele, Fiorina won't be in attendance. Instead, she said, she will be campaigning with Republican Sen. John McCain at an event for veterans.

"Sarah Palin is here to endorse her book I believe and to raise money," Fiorina told CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer. "I am here running for office so we're all busy."

Fiorina, the former CEO of Hewlett Packard, wouldn't say if she considers herself a member of the Tea Party movement.

"I see myself as a candidate running for public office for the very first time," Fiorina said. "I see myself as serving the voters of California."

During the 2008 presidential election, when Fiorina was an economic adviser McCain's presidential campaign, she said Palin didn't have the experience to run a major cooperation. And in subsequent interviews said John McCain, Barack Obama and Joe Biden didn't either.

Fiorina is in a tough race against three-term incumbent Democratic Senator Barbara Boxer. In the latest CNN/Time/Opinion Research Poll of likely voters, 52 percent of respondents said they would back Boxer and 43 percent said they would back Fiorina. The survey had a sampling error of 2.5 percentage points.

Sarah Palin is qualified to be President in the most important ways. She is true to her values and philosophies, she cares a great deal about her country and the good of the population and she has the personal drive to take on even the grandest goals. She is not intimidated by difficulty, she is not a slave to her ego and she is not beholden to anyone ( except certainly John McCain, but he's okay ). She respects what made America great and she is convinced it continues to be a great country. Carly Fiorina is exactly correct.

And this is why she will lose the senate race. She doesn't care about america, she cares about protecting business interest. These people are disgusting, like Sarah Palin.

  4. Fiornia is desperate!

Oh that will help her win in California......NOT. She is desperately reaching for anybody who will listen to her, and I guess she has finally hit the bottom of the barrel. This is not Alabama or Arkansas. There are fewer rednecks here and therefore fewer supporters of Palin. I guess Palin does not feel the same way for Fiorina. She chose the money over the campaign (what else is new). Perhaps even Palin can't bring herself to vote for someone who brags about sending jobs to Mexico, China etc. Fiorina is running a bad campaign, and her aligning herself with Palin is further proof

Carly's going down now for sure. Palin is politically toxic here in CA.

Of course Fiorina would say something stupid like "Palin is qualified to be president", because she herself is not qualified for the office she's running for either. After she ran Hewlitt Packard into the ground, she decided to take the multimillions they paid her to get the hell out of town and use it to buy a high political office. Her "thinking" must go something like this: "Whee! What fun! I'm rich and have no idea what to do with my life, and I probably won't be allowed to ruin another company, so why not contribute to the further debasement of politics and hasten the ongoing ruin of my home state by running for senator? And while I'm at it, maybe I'll endorse the most unqualified presidential pretender in our entire history so we can just tear the whole darn country down and leave it to someone else to start over! We'll finish the demolition job that our great pious leader George W. Bush started but didn't have time to complete!"

Fiorina and Palin are complete jokes. Anybody who thinks otherwise doesn't deserve to vote. There are plenty of decent Republicans out there. Why won't they come out of the woodwork and save their party, and their country, from fools such as these?

If Carly Fiorina, the former CEO of Hewlett Packard, is so closely aligned with the Tea Party Movement, maybe she should take a hike to China and join them for Tea. They have a lot of Tea in China. Who knows, maybe she will have the opportunity to run into some of the jobs she shipped overseas from HP. Maybe thee Chinese will reward her with a State Medal for her hard work on behalf of the Chinese State. I certainly hope they don't treat her like they treat their own citizens. She may get the idea she might have made a mistake and would want to return to the USA and we could inafford to have her back at the helm of another US company or a state within the United States. There's no telling where she might try to ship that company or state off to overseas.

Wow, I guess that says a lot about her being qualified to be a Senator.

She certainly has more experience than the "Victim In Chief" we elected. I don't see Sarah actually running. She realizes the Media is anti-Woman, just look what they did to Hillary. I think Sarah realizes her place is to raise money, which she does exceptional and to call out No Cojones Blowboma. Go Sarah your country needs and loves you.

I simply can not comprehend how the former CEO of such a successful company can honestly believe Palin is qualified for POTUS. The higher up the ladder you get, the less you know, I suppose. I thought that was only supposed to apply to the job though, not life in general...

That single ignorant comment, showing Fiorina's complete detachment from reality, is, all by itself, sufficient to determine she is utterly unfit for office. How pathetic!

  16. Reality Check

Palin is qualified only in that she fulfills the citizxenship and age requirements to be president. Sure she can get a crowd excited with a speech-seen how that's working out so well for our current president.

This statement should prove Ms. Fiorina doesn't have the judgement necessary to be qualified to hold the office of Senator. Ms. Palin isn't qualified to be dog-catcher, never mind president. i guess Ms. Fiorina thinks if Bush could do it, anyone could. but the 8 years of hell this country endured under King George the Lesser proves not just anyone can do it.

And the next thing Ms fiorina will say is
"She (carly)is qualified to be the next senator from california"
This woman has no problem sending jobs over-seas!!
If you love this land(damn the politics)don't vote these people in power again, because they are exporting our resources for personal(monetary)reasons,
Ms.fiorina and her brand of politics are not for those of US who collect a pay check,They(those on the wrong)Govern with the bottom line of the very wealthy in mind only,
This election will come down to class warfare,
Newt is leading the charge to show just how powerful the rich are, they are telling you who will win before you even vote.
They don't believe in the constitution they believe in dominance and total control!!
To the tea-drinkers if this is about anti-washington feelings, then why are those who are leading the charge in your tea drinking movement washington insiders(boehner, armey, gingrich, pickett, pence, cantor)???

OK, this is too easy. Carly had one too many shots of Tequila, right? Why else would she leave even the slightest doubt about her judgment of leadership? Or was that her main problem when she almost killed off Hewlett Packard-poor judge of character?

It is such a sexist question for reporters to be asking. Palin had more executive experie than Barrack Obama. We know now that Pres. Obama is in over his head. But where is the talk about that.

The media treat conservative women differant. Take Christine O'Donnell. The media have had fun mocking her past YouTube moment. Yet they ignored the Youtube moments of the foul-mouthed Al Franken.

Believing that Palin is qualified to be anything more than a dog catcher proves that Fiorina is even LESS qualified that Palin to hold elected office.

Duh! What makes this woman, who flunked at Hewlet-Packard, think Palin is Presidential material? That she makes big bucks? That she quit her job as Governor of Alaska? Her comment shows how bright Fiorina is!
