(CNN) - Actor George Clooney paid a visit to the White House on Tuesday to meet with President Barack Obama and discuss his recent trip to southern Sudan.
Joining Clooney in the Oval Office meeting was Enough Project Co-Founder John Prendergast, who joined him outside of the West Wing after the meeting to talk to press.
Clooney said, "I think we're very impressed with how involved, at the highest level, this administration is and now our job is to try and continue to keep it in the press and keep it, to keep the light turned on for the next 90 days while we try and broker a peace deal, which is what they're working on right now."
The actor was heading to Capitol Hill to meet with Republican Indiana Sen. Dick Lugar, the ranking Republican on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

Is it not a violation of the law for individual citizens to negotiate on behalf of the United States of America? And what about the Transparency that we were supposed to see in this White House; an actor who pretends to be real people, can walk in to meet with the President. But Real People cannot. Obama is a fraud, and Clooney is just another pretty face.

Why is Mr. Cloony not taking his issue to the UN. Are they not the worlds watch dogs?? Mr. Obama has on more than one occasion down played the US roll in world issues. We give Billions annually to the UN for just this problem, wheres the money??? Wheres the help from the new world order??? Go home Mr. Cloony or go to the UN. I stand by our President on this issue, we are nolonger a world superpower and don't count on us.
Stop messing around with Clooney (and Hollywood in general) and start fixing the economy.
I think George Clooney should stick to movies and let people with degrees and real life experience deal with our forgein policy. Seriously, George, keep your mouth shut and act. Or better yet, open up your pocket book and put that where your mouth is.

I will sleep better at night, knowing that our country has George Clooney on board, giving his opinion on world events and having his pulse on the nation of Sudan. Actor and peace broker. He must have slept in a Holiday Inn Express while he was in the Sudan.
It would be nice if POTUS could find a few minutes to declare a Federal State of Emergency for the 9/24/25, 2010 flooded areas of southern Minnesota soon. We are waiting, Mr President, for your action on this so people can get FEMA help.
I appreciate his passion for this issue. I just wish that he had more influence with the U.N. when the real trouble was going on in Darfur.
