(CNN) - Actor George Clooney paid a visit to the White House on Tuesday to meet with President Barack Obama and discuss his recent trip to southern Sudan.
Joining Clooney in the Oval Office meeting was Enough Project Co-Founder John Prendergast, who joined him outside of the West Wing after the meeting to talk to press.
Clooney said, "I think we're very impressed with how involved, at the highest level, this administration is and now our job is to try and continue to keep it in the press and keep it, to keep the light turned on for the next 90 days while we try and broker a peace deal, which is what they're working on right now."
The actor was heading to Capitol Hill to meet with Republican Indiana Sen. Dick Lugar, the ranking Republican on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

I think the fact that some Hollywood actor would be enlisted as a foreign-policy emissary tells you all you need to know about this administration.
So a guy whose only talent is pretending to be other people gets the ear of the President? I hope that everything goes okay in the Sudan because it will be Clooney's fault if Obama looks bad.
Earth to Obama.....Just because Clooney acted in a movie about the middle east (Three Kings) doesn't mean he actually KNOWS anything about the middle east. Clooney needs to shut up and act and Obama needs to man up and be POTUS for a CHANGE. Give Trey Parker a call...he also did a film about the middle east...called TEAM AMERICA....and I think Clooney even makes a cameo appearance;)

Seriously..another problem in Africa...in the Sudan even. The UN has known about this for years and nothing. Good job UN and good that our budget to the UN which America is the largest contributor has fixed this problem. Lets throw more money at the problem...that is Americas answer to everything. Here's the answer...have a dialog with the Arab Muslims who are slaughtering the African Muslims and non-Muslims..they will listen. Funny how people complain when we get involved in others affairs (IRAQ/Afghanistan), but its okay because George Clooney said we need to help. If he is so concerned how about giving up most of your mass fortune to pay for it instead of the taxpayers in the country who are barely getting by. That's exactly what America needs....to get involved in another conflict. We'll just print some more money to foot the bill. It's cool.
The president doesn't have anything better to do? There are more knowledgeable people than George Clooney about this matter, people who have been involved with this cause for years. George Clooney is some washed up actor who tries to get his face out there, like Bono who has a charity where most of the money goes to administrative costs, not to help. Get these guys out of charity.
