Washington (CNN) - Actor George Clooney is coming to the White House on Tuesday to meet with President Obama to discuss the on-going crisis in Sudan.
Press Secretary Robert Gibbs announced the meeting during a gaggle with reporters and said that Clooney will discuss his recent trip to the country and will meet with the President "to discuss the steps that we're taking to try to bring peace to Sudan."
The actor is also traveling to Capitol Hill to meet with Indiana's Sen. Dick Lugar, the top Republican on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Clooney recently traveled to southern Sudan and is a United Nations goodwill ambassador.
The meeting will be held in the Oval Office.

Oh boy...... an actor is going to the White House! The GOP-Koch-Teas will be deeply outraged!
Even actors are American Citizens and have the same Freedom of Speech that we all do!
Oh boy, here we go again. Why is it that the Dems are driven by Celebrities in their policy making? Who made them experts in world affairs? They can't even make good movies any more!
I really admire Clooney for all of his work... Hope the meeting goes well!!
This is T'SAH from Virginia and I approve this message!!

Yup... that's is EXACTLY what Americans have high on their priority list! That pesky Sudan issue and their lack of peace has really been keeping me up at night. While they are at it, can they solve that really bad mosquito problem in Nigeria too?
I guess it has been a few weeks since Obozo had a good party or vacation so I think he just wants some celebrity time lest he becomes too involved in actually solving a problem here at home.
Ahh, get some expert analysis. Way to go bama.
Obama will have to check to see if there are any Democrat liberals up for reelection in Sudan, and then blast Bush and the Republicans and accuse the Chamber of Commerce of something. He will tell Clooney if the Republicans get in office they will cut the education funding, health care funding and social security he was planning on giving the Sudanese.
When did George Clooney become a Sudan foreign policy expert and why is he getting an audience on this topic?! Oh, wait, democrats summoned Steve Colbert to report on immigration reform. You don't have to be an expert, you only have to be rich and draw a crowd. The White House continues to baffle me. What in haites does the Sudan have to do with jobs and our economy? I think they've already legalized pot in DC .....
