(CNN) – Donald Trump is teaming up with New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie for a Republican fundraiser later this month, a Republican source with knowledge of the event confirmed to CNN.
The real estate mogul will host a reception for the National Republican Senatorial Committee at Trump Towers on October 25. NRSC chairman Sen. John Cornyn will also join Christie and the Apprentice star.
Rumors of the real estate mogul's own political ambitions have been circulating after a New Hampshire telephone poll included Trump's name on its list of potential 2012 Republican contenders. Trump told CNN that he was not behind the mysterious poll, but has since said publicly that he is seriously considering a run for president.

2 of the most arrogant, pompous and elitist jerks in America.
The party of millionaire liars, cheaters, and philanderers. NO thank you. Democrats are the party of the people.
Wish Chris Christie would consider a Presidential run. He is doing great things in NJ.
Well is anyone really surprised at this? Donald Trump is an elitist. He only does things if they can make him money or can make someone else look like a fool. The charge for a ticket to this event is a minimum of $1,000.00. How many people do you know who have that kind of money? Trump is an excellent example of what is happening in politics today. He is buying the election by buying the Republican Candidate.
Of course the good ole (white) boys need to get together to arrange how to buy this year's election. They have no actual viable ideas to run on, so they need to spend more money pushing fear, lies and propaganda to keep sane and rational Americans from recognizing they have nothing to offer America except their slavish devotion to the failed cult of deregulation, tax cuts for the ultrarich and global (unfair) trade. Electing them would be like hiring a pedophile to run a preschool, or the captain of the Titanic to run a cruise ship. Remember, if you liked the ditch they drove America into last time, you're gonna LOVE the canyon they're aiming for now!
Just when you think 2008 presidential election couldn't get anymore stranger......
Wont comment on Trump. I was taught that if I have nothing nice to say, don't say anything.
I relish the day the Trump enters the race as republican for any office – but he is not qualified for dog catcher. Any republican will whip his butt. But that does not matter, as with the rest of these current republicans, he see the opportunity as a profit center for his brand.
Maybe this is what it will take for Rush Limbaugh to leave the country as he previously said he would because Trump doesn't ride side saddle for anyone. LOL
but the question has to be asked – is this a better reason to dislike the Republicans or is this a better reason to dislike the Donald?
Just what we need another self centered wind bag money grubber. If you look at all the post here all the really nasty comments about the democrats or our president and first lady are from the far right. They have no ideas so they just keep slamming the democrats. Vote all repos out in November and bring back some civility to the government and to the office of president. I am ashamed of the tea baggers and wing nuts that have no respect for this country. They have so much money to throw around to get elected so why don't they help the economy? Democrats stick togeather. We may surprise these baggers yet
Mr. Art of the Combover, top wealthy 2%, supporting GOP – why am I not surprised.
If Angle, Palin, Paul and McDonnell don't show you what the republicans don"t have then maybe Trump should scare the heck out of Americans.
This guy is such a mutt - the Republicans really travel in great company . . . .! Jeeeez, enough already!
Trump is a joke, I like him but lets get real. He said if he was president he would ban Opec from raising gas prices and make US companies ship jobs back to America. Yea Trump, good luck getting congress and your fellow republicans to go along with that.
Everyone says "We need to stop shipping jobs to China and start makign things here again" really? ok so what your really saying is "We need to start making things here again because I really want to pay $600.00 for a cell phone instead of $200.00" I dont get how people just dont understand the basics of this..
The US is NOT a manufacturing economy, we are a services economy. China makes the stuff for dirt cheap, we turn around and sell them here in the US for reasonable prices and as a result we hire construction workers to build new retail buildings, we hire the store clerks, the sales people and the sales managers to sell the products.
IF things where made in America, it would kill our economy. So next time you say "I wish things where made in America" then really ask yourself "Would i be willing to work for $4.75 a hour and pay $400.00 more for products?" wake up people, WE NEED free trade agreements or else expect to pay $600.00 for cell phones.
The post on political ticker about the West Virginia Senate race has the wrong picture. The picture on the right is a picture of John Kasich, who is running for governor of Ohio. I think that they meant to put a picture of John Raese, who is running for US Senate in West Virginia.
Christie would be a great president, he has the guts to tell the parasite unions to get real. Unfortunately, they, the dopers and the MSM would gang up and destroy him with their sophisticated, elitist wit combined with their skilled lying and NEA dumbed down voters.
A multi-billioniare supports the GOP.... Where's the newsin that... If a dog bites a man, etc
I think it is hillarious that the most famous job/business killing man in Ameirica is working for the GOP. Just goes to show you how incredibly stupid the average GOPer is.
The Donald jumping into politics. Good deal.
Donald Trump is a megalomaniac and is still in bankruptcy.....
Trump and Christie together, not surprising. Two big-wigs that treat people like crap.
WOW Donald, talk about playing both sides of the isle. Snake.
Hmm, Trump running for president... Well, he could pay for his own campaign entirely out of his own pocket, that way he wouldn't owe any special interest groups any favors... I'm not a huge fan of his, but there might be an upside.
always knew trump was a re-pubic-n! just protecting my greed.
