(CNN) – Pete Rouse was supposed to be the "interim" White House chief of staff, but an increasing number of senior Democrats inside and outside the White House are telling me it's looking more and more likely that he will stay on a more permanent basis - maybe even through the 2012 election battle.
When President Obama officially announced Rahm Emanuel's exit on October 1, he said in the East Room, "I am very fortunate to be able to hand the baton to my wise, skillful and longtime counselor, Pete Rouse.
good, but they need to do their jobs right without any earmarks...derivatives, etc...,concentrate on energy efficiency and climate reform....o.k...October no cold....what?????
And he should stay a while. But if he decides that he wants to do something else – the HATERS will blame it on President Obama!!!
He cannot possibly be any worse than Emanuel. Emanuel took over the highest and most succesful asset in a century,
and 2 years later left a highly damaged, on the downturn, fighting, and potentially losing proposition.
In the real world, Emanuel would have been fired immediately without pension.
Good luck to Mr. Rouse.
I'm sure he will he will stay on for Obama's remaining term and then he will be gone just like Obama and the rest of the Chicago thugs in the Administration. That will be a truly happy day for America. The way to make it perfect is if Hillary Clinton would be his replacement in 2012. Times were good when the Clinton's were in the White House and they can be again with Hillary. The difference between the Clinton's and Obama is they don't have the arrogance and they will work with the other side of the isle. President Clinton never acted like the dictator Obama shows signs of trying to become. Hillary your country needs you in 2012.
Hopefully he will stay until the impeachment starts and the indictments come out.
