(CNN)– Is Harry Reid too "Ritzy" to understand the plight of the average Nevada voter? That's the charge made in Republican Senate candidate Sharron Angle's latest ad.
The ad, paid for by the National Republican Senatorial Committee, targets Reid for living in a luxury apartment at the Ritz Carlton in Washington while Nevadans are losing their homes to foreclosure and the state has the nation's highest unemployment rate.
This is not the first time Angle has brought up Reid's Ritz residence; she mentioned it in last Thursday's debate, contrasting it with her middle-class lifestyle in Reno. Reid called Angle's attacks on his wealth a "low blow."
It is my understanding that a large portion of Nevadans are employed in the largest industry in Nevada-Gambling. Because of the Bush recession there are fewer people who have money to travel to Las Vegas, Reno etc to play the games. That will cause layoffs. I would like Sharon to explain how she intends to bring in the tourists.
