#edit: Palin tweet 2 endorse Raese names wrong state

(CNN) –For a lot of Republicans, an endorsement from former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is the gold standard of conservative street cred.

West Virginia Republican Senate candidate John Raese received such a nod this morning, except her endorsement was for a Senate seat in … Pennsylvania.

In a now-deleted tweet, Palin wrote, "Pennsylvania:makes sense 2 send GOP 2 DC 2 avoid PA economic disaster that will occur under Obama/Pelosi Cap & Tax scheme;workers need Raese."

She then quickly took the tweet down and updated with, "PA & WV: makes sense 2 send GOP 2 DC 2 avoid economic disaster that will occur under Obama/Pelosi Cap & Tax scheme;workers need Raese."

Pennsylvania, however, does border Raese's home state, and has its own tight race for Senate between Democrat Joe Sestak and Republican Pat Toomey. Palin has not officially endorsed in that race.

And in a new tweet, Palin makes clear it's WV's Raese:

SarahPalinUSA: All energy producing states need WV's Raese in DC 2 stop Obama/Pelosi Cap&Tax;that's PA,AK,NV,CA,etc;WV sending a"D"perpetuates the problem

Meanwhile, the chairman of the West Virginia Democratic Party sought political advantage in a release citiing Palin's original tweet.

"With John Raese, it is easy to get confused as to where he actually lives. He may be running for Senate in West Virginia, but he really could choose to run in any of the states in which he belongs to a country club," Chairman Larry Puccio said in the statement. "West Virginians can't really fault Sarah Palin for getting confused – we are too."

Palin is barely functionable under normal circumstances, at the wire she unravels like cheap thread. Nothing to see here......

How can Sarah Palin be the gold standard of conservative street cred when she has no credibility?

Oh, sorry - answered my own question - the GOP and the Tea Party aren't credible parties. They're filled with pickled-brained morons who think Palin is actually relevant.

And we should take her endorsements seriously right??? She doesn't even know what STATE he's in. Palin is the biggest idiot in America.

She is an idiot. I'm sure she doesn't even write most of her own facebook posts. She has a whole group of handlers telling her what to write and who to endorse. I don't respect this woman.

Oh brother. We can now add this to the mile-long list of ignorant things Palin has done over the last two years.

The decline of the tea party has already begun. If Repuglicans think they'll have energy to roll by 2012 they've got another thing coming. This "tea party" movement is already cannibalizing itself.

That's not a mistake– more like a Freudian slip. Many WV Republicans (Dems too, for that matter) do in fact appear to run their campaigns out of neighboring states, usually places where they've got more interests, while their only real interest in West Virginia is finding out just how much they can steal.

After 28 years living there, me thinks WV gets taken advantage of even more than the rest of the country when it comes to corrupt activities by political fraudsters.

It looks too late for 2010– In 2012, VOTE THEM ALL OUT!!!!

Half Gov. Palin proves once again that she's a fraud. The only principal she stands for is grabbing as much money as she can and to dumb down America to her level. That's the only way she'll get elected to anything again. Dumb down America. She mocks an education and calls educated people elitists. She those like her, Angle, O'Donnell and the like seem to be proud of their stupidity.

Vote NO in NOvember to the party of NO.

If the qutiter was any kind of human being I would feel pity. Unfortunately she's a life form like no other ever seen on Earth so little things like this makes her look dumb and incompetenent. It was obviously not done by her but she has people workiing for her that are even dumber than her. I guess they are geographically challenged just like their leader.
This woman is so pathetic and ridiculous that you can't feel anything about glad when she screws up which she has been doing a lot of lately. I guess cnn will keep us abreast of all her dumbness for the next two loooooooooooooooong weeks!

Give Palin a break; don't confuse her with geographical facts. Who needs 'em when you're one tough mamma grizzly? LOL all the way to the ballot box!

CNN, what's the big deal about this?! Especially if you note that she was quick to correct herself! She's a human just like anyone else and these types of mistakes can be made by anyone!

Can we get real political news please?! The obsession with Palin's every move–big or small–is getting kind of old.

Silly gotcha moments. It'll be funny to read the comments posted here by obsessed libs who hate a woman who doesn't get in line with their agenda. To them, a woman can't think for herself or speak her mind. If they do, and it's not their talking points, they'll call the woman an idiot and demand she be sent back to her kitchen or home to watch her children.
    You are Hypocrites!!!!!!!

So, the GOP would openly admit that a Palin endorsement is "street cred"? OMG.....how embarrassing! Glad I left that party years ago before it lowered the standards to that degree!

Even though PALIN was WRONG in her tweet – CNN still wants to give her credit because RAESES home state BORDERS PA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Like I said – CNN has a FETISH for Palin and she is such a LOSER!!!

PALIN – next time do you own TWEET so the American people can witness in print just how dumb you really are!!!

This is T'SAH from Virginia and I approve this message!!!

Maybe she got confused because the two "Real West Virginians" in the campaign ads were actually Pennsylvanians.

ill be so glad when this bimbo runs for pres in 2012. then we will finally be rid of her. once she gets trounced then she can crawl back into that ice hut she lives in and leave us alone. palin and her gestapo are not good people, not worthy of being in office. should be written in the constitution that the republican party is a terrorist organization and they should be treated as such.

Par for the course. The woman is not smart, nor competent, but I guess those are the qualifications to lead the Tea Party or have your own show on Fox News. She is example # 1 of why America is falling behind in the world!

GREAT JOB CNN!! You have bashed O'Donnell and Palin and several other Republicans today.

Does anyone think she really writes these tweets or even knows these candidates? She is a puppet.

"Pennsylvania, however, does border Raese's home state..."

So that means "close enough" is our new standard for political discourse?

What a space cadet. At this point, the only thing separating Sarah Palin from a cast member of The Hills is a better PR team.
