Biden blasts Angle: 'shame on her'

(CNN) - In a stump speech for vulnerable Democratic Sen. Harry Reid, Vice President Biden credited him with the "successes" of the past two years and called Reid's Republican opponent, Sharron Angle "extreme."

"The alternative to Harry Reid is extreme, is extreme" Biden said. "When you start to compare our vision, Harry's vision with the lack of vision in the alternative, the choice is quickly abundantly clear."

Biden touted Reid's legislative accomplishments including financial and health care reform and criticized Angle's positions on health care. He also repeated Reid's campaign and advertising line that Angle wants to privatize Veterans Affairs hospitals. Biden said she must hold that opinion because she doesn't understand the issue.

"Shame on her," he said.

"We only have one sacred obligation… it is to take care of those who we send to war and come home injured," Biden said. "That's the only truly sacred obligation we have."

Angle's campaign has called the attacks dishonest.

Biden also railed against the Republicans, who he said offer "nothing, nothing, nothing." He said the current administration has created more jobs than "George Bush created in 8 full years."

Biden closed by saying this is one of the closest races in the country and it is even more important than the 2008 election.

According to recent polls, the race between Reid and Angle remains deadlocked despite a large flow of cash and advertising into the state supporting both sides.

Biden calls it like he sees it. Cutting funds to veteran's hospitals is cold and callus. Angle is way too extreme and not to mention, crazy as a bat.

George Bush created 2 million jobs in 8 years, Jimmy Carter created over 12 million in 4 years, and Clinton was around 22 million. Republicans have been experts at blaming everyone else for their own failures, and get their message out 24/7 on Fox lies.

"Biden touted Reid's legislative accomplishments including financial and health care reform"..really? where are the jobs? healthcare reform is a mess..
"George Bush created in 8 full years." ..Yes, but Democrats tripled the debts for just 2 years. What would happen if Democrats stays in the next 6 years? Absolutely worst than Bush.. Ain't no change after all.

No, no. Not shame on her. Shame on you and your continually lying boss.

You guys have lost most respect among dedicated/true Democrats.

Mr. Biden, YOU should be ashamed of yourself. Not the other way around!

Obama, Biden, Reid and Pelosi have borrowed more money in the time since Obie took office than George Bush did in 6 years.

That's a fact, no matter the big lies that dumbocraps love to believe.

Vancouver . . It is my understanding that Bush, Bush the elder, and Reagan created more than a $10 trillion dollar debt. I do not think the current debt is tripled to $30 trillion, but I am sure that a Vancouverian would know.

I truly believe Angle is on target, her eccentric behavior is easily reined in and the fundamentals of governance she expresses are necessary to get our Nation back on course. There is going to be a lot of pain on the public sector side coming down the pipe, it will have to be done in order to make our Nation strong again, a truing up of sort. The private side has suffered the full brunt of this economy while public sector jobs have continued virtually unscathed. States are in the red as is the Fed, there is only one way out and that is to suck it up and cut non-essential services and pension benefits to a more realistic level more in line to the duty and services provided. I think we should start with the upper level of government first, Senators and Representatives, pay cut, healthcare plan (Medicare) and a big fat pension of Social Security...Why should those that have been derelict in their duty receive continued compensation for a failed job?

I have to point out that our debt was driven under Bush by unfunded tax cuts for the wealthy, unfunded drug program, unfunded increase in the size of government with the HSA, unfunded unnecessary wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. and the TARP bailout.

Phoenix, I think you need to fact check, as I believe 'W' borrowed from China for our wars, tax cuts, drug programs, Tarp, and HSA.

Yo phoenix86 – The 'big lies that dumbocraps love to believe' are that kind of stuff that you are not very familiar with, we call them PROVEN FACTS, because that's what they are. You can't debunk or deny or do whatever you want to diminish their importance without seeing your credibility going down the drain, because they are DOCUMENTED and RECORDED facts that (at best) you can TRY to twist or spin as much as you want, but to say that they don't exist speaks volume for what kind of parallel reality you seems to be living in.

Angle is certifiable! She is losing and she knows it. She has no new ideas, no solutions, only attacks! She criticizes Harry Reid for being a wealthy American businessman, but wants to keep the Bush Tax Cuts for the wealthiest 1%!

Can't have it both ways Sharron!

No worries, Nevada the Latino vote will carry Harry Reid back to WORK FOR YOU to the Senate!

After this election season I've concluded that there are 2 qualifications required to be a member in good standing of the Tea Party. 1 – All information must come from FOX. 2 – Never earn more that a D minus in any History, Government, or Civics class in high school.

Foot-in-the-mouth Joe is probably living in another planet. But we who know him as a classless clown are not surprised at his high praises for fellow intellectually-challenged Harry Reid. Nice try Joe, but you can say bye bye to your friend Harry. Hey Joe, have you heard the latest? A lot of the House Dems are now bent on kicking out Pelosi as Speaker even if they keep the majority. They finally realized that witch, like your friend Harry, is a baggage too heavy to carry.

Biden sometime call it too much like he sees it, but JUST THINK ABOUT it.

How IGNORANT do you have to be when you group together all non-white people in 2010???
This is something people did back in the early 1500's when they ran into the RED MAN and had no idea how to group them.
This is IGNORANCE and IDIOCY to the MAX.

There really should be an IQ level low limit and age when it comes to people voting and running for office.
We can not let people with IQ's of 85 decide who can run our country.
We can not let people who are 65 or older vote and decide the FUTURE of this country. You had your chance.

Baby Bush and the Gop had total control of the Congress from 1994 thru 2006 and all of Wash. from 2000 thru 2006...when "W" took over From Clinton we had a large Surplus...after the Tax cuts that were not payed for $900 million and Medicare Part "B" another $ 1 trillion which was not payed for.....then Two WARS that were not payed for money all borrowed from China.....then Bush (rigthfully funds the TRAP Program ) so as to not allow the Country to totally fall off of the Cliff...So Pres. Obama comes in and the 1st thing he does is declare what the True cost of both Wars was/is and proceeds to pass out the TARP Money..now it was supposed to be to Shovel ready projects (was it the Presidents fault that most of the States didn't have any Shovel Ready projects? So my point is the total deficit that everyone is suddenly so afraid of is what was handed to the Administration...THAT TRUTH CAN BE FACT CHECKED TO DEAF and stand up..Now the GOP wants to continue the tax cuts for the rich ..people who make $250,000 or more a year..at a added cost of another $700 to $ 800 million added to the NATIONAL DEBT..can we as a Nation afford to give the top earners in this Country another tax cut and add the much more to the already out of control Debt ? and as far as the Fox News line that in a recession you don't want to tax the job creators...well I say the tax cuts are already in place and we have been losing jobs for the last 6 years...so if these tax breaks were so potent ,why didn't they keep us from losing all of those jobs...also why should we hard working people give tax breaks to American companies that are pocketing the tax break money and shipping the jobs overseas ...to countries where they can pay workers $2 dollars an hour and watch there dividends and stock price increase like they have actually done something...I say we end all tax breaks for companies that ship jobs overseas.
