NAACP goes after Tea Party again

(CNN) - The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People released a new study Wednesday that claims to tie members of the Tea Party to white supremacist groups, anti-immigration organizations, anti-semitic groups and independent militias.

The study, conducted by the Institute for Research and Education on Human Rights analyzed the membership of six Tea Party organizations in the country.

According to the NAACP, five of the six Tea Party groups are headed by "birthers," people who believe President Obama is not a citizen of the United States.

The study looked at Tea Party literature as well as their websites and information about those associated with the Tea Party movement to analyze their ties. The report claims that Tea Party events are now forums for extremists "hoping to push these (white) protesters toward a more self-conscious and ideological white supremacy."

"These groups and individuals are out there, and we ignore them at our own peril," Ben Jealous, president and CEO of the NAACP said in a statement. "They are speaking at Tea Part events, recruiting at rallies… the danger is not that the majority of Tea Party members share their views, but that left unchecked, these extremists might indirectly influence the direction of the Tea Party and therefore the direction of our country."

Amy Kremer, Chairman of the Tea Party Express responded to the report.

"Here we are two weeks out from a historic midterm election and they're doing this to attack us and change the message," Kremer said. "This is ridiculous, that's not what this movement is about. We're focused on the issues and we're going to continue to work to get conservatives elected."

Rev. C.L. Bryant, founder of One Nation Back to God responded on behalf of FreedomWorks, a conservative non-profit grassroots organization that provides much of the logistics and organization behind Tea Party events.

"It is unfortunate that the Chairman of the NAACP, Ben Jealous is making these kinds of statements at this time," Bryant said. "(It is) designed to distract would-be voters from the true issues of this election season to something as divisive as race."

In July the NAACP passed a resolution that condemned what if felt was rampant racism in the Tea Party movement. At the time, Tea Party activists denounced the action as unfounded and unfair as well.

The NAACP along with almost every Democrat in America would hurl racist words at and violently attack Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. if he were alive today. That is because he was a republican and the above mentioned do not believe in ideological freedom for all Americans as each and every Republican does.

Karl Denninger, one of the original founders of the tea party was on MSNBC last night and blasted what he referred to as D-bag groups like the tea Party Patriots who corrupted to original fiscal message and once again made it about "Guns, Gays and God". Read his blog post, it's enlightening.

Interesting response by Rev Bryant,,, how about a blatant denial or accusations of defamation, or perhaps request a debate to have Mr. Jealous substantiate these allegations!!! But, to simply say, he’s attempting to change the subject,,,, “dummy”.
By the way,,, what exactly does “One Nation “back” to God” mean? Specifically,,, why is the word “back” being used as if your finding lost souls and leading them back to “A Church” or back to “God”, which seems to insinuate your selecting a specific group to people and leading back to “your specific interpretation of your God”. One Nation,,,, which Nation,,,???? Who’s Nation???? What’s the nature of this church and what’s the ratio of non-whites are found and lead back to “God”? Right.
Blacks, unlike Whites, don’t play games with words,,,, you are either a bigot or not a bigot and a non-bigot does not hang out with bigots and if they do, the condone bigots and their actions, which makes them bigots too.
Lets talk about that subject before we vote on your “conservatives”.

NAACP: This ploy didn't work the FIRST time you accused the Tea Party of racism...what makes you think anybody's going to care if you bring it up again? Perhaps you follow the progressives' philosophy: If you repeat a lie often enough, eventually it becomes "truth".

There was a time when the NAACP was the very essense of what makes America great. They stood up for equality and wanted equal rights for all Americans.

Now they are just a front group of puppets for the Robert Byrd Dixiecrat party.

Keep playing the racist game libtards you are going to be punished in 13 days. People with half a brain(Non libs) realize how pathetic your games are and will have more of an incentive to vote. Please keep using the race card for the next 13 days so we can pick up 70 seats instead of the almost guaranteed 50 seats. Who know maybe we might take the senate as well. What is next the foreign money influx? Your party has turned into a complete joke over the last 2 years or so and we are fed up with your socialistic ideas.

The NAACP needs to look after its own membership, like the Blackpanthers and leave the Tea Party Alone. What do they want anyway? To have a name calling war? How about anyone who supports the Naacp stop since they are in association with the Black Panthers? HYPOCRITES are all they have become,a racist organization calling others racist.

It's funny that a group such as NAACP that claims to frown so heavily on prejudice and stereotyping has no problem stereotyping the Tea Party by stating that "most of those attending rallies" share the beliefs of extremist speakers. NAACP is not for equal rights, they're for the rights of black people. That by definition makes them a racist organization.

I, a white, 55 year old working woman, certainly feel a lot safer around the NAACP than the tea bag revolters. The only silver lining, if there is even one, to any of them being elected, is that maybe the constant whining and complaining will stop. Nah, who am I kidding

Funny how when they inform you of other polls that say "Obama's ratings are down" – you all trust and believe that poll. But when the true colors of the Tea Party is presented...it's one-sided, it's a lie, it's the NAACP that are racists, and they didn't even conduct the survey. Selective Truth is what I"ll call it...

    Who's the racist now?
The NAACP for blanketly characterizing a group of people.
It's unforgivable that the press is not calling them out on it.

Ah the sweet smell of Democrat liberal desperation. Love it. The same people who belive this (drug addicts, union members who pay their corrupt bosses to think for them, welfare frauds, non workers, Oprah watchers and the poor products of the NEA controlled education sysem who can't get a job because they can't read) believe that Sarah Palin actually said she can see Russia from her house. Is it any wonder Obama got votes? This is a real smear job, very indicative of the DNC and its owners the SEIU.

Here's an interesting quest: I challenge the NAACP to open it's membership books and allow the same scrutiny.......I wonder how many in that organization would have "questionable" links????

We need to vote for the candidates that will:

keep the tax breaks in place for corporations to offshore and outsource, so they can create more jobs...in China.

keep the tax breaks for the wealthy, so they can afford to create those jobs....in China.

repeal the health care bill before Americans get the same care the elite lawmakers get.

repeal the regulations on credit companies that prevent them from raising rates without their customers knowledge.

not over regulate energy companies, forcing expensive safeguards in place to ensure safety for all.

lower minimum wage rates and raise the age of retirement for those greedy, old, American workers.

allow insurance companies to cut off risky Americans that raise the cost of premiums for all of us.

impose our will on women that seek medical treatment that are controversial to our religious cults.

punish those who made rude remarks at us, when we backed the wrong war and policies.

reduce assistance to states, forcing them to take the blame for imposing tax hikes.

halt socialistic spending like infrastructure and education, so we can hire cheaper foreign labor for these jobs.

get that liberal Obama out of office before he gives America back to the "working class" Americans.

"Blacks, unlike Whites, don’t play games with words,,,, "

Then all those brothas I see running games on everyone are just a figment of my imagination.

And blacks, unlike whites, are encouraged to speak their "minds." Whites are just supposed to shut up and be good little guilt receptacles.

Tell me did the NAACP repudiate the acts of the black panthers who took large sticks to the voting places and intimidated the white voters. Did they take a stand again ACORN with all the fraud it caused during the election in 2008? If it did it did so very quietly. Wasn't it the NAACP who invited Jeremiah Wright to speak at its function? The same "so-called" Rev. Wright who preached hatred to white people. He even mentioned Hillary. Our own President threw him under the bus. The NAACP took him out from under that bus and allowed him to speak out spewing hateful things.

Many of the members of the Tea Party are themselves Black Americans....These are a bunch of small minded individuals who are quick to play the race card.
