Henry in the House: Can Obama deliver knockout?

Ed Henry has covered the White House for CNN since March 2006. In "Henry in the House," he offers an insider's view of the Obama White House.

Las Vegas, Nevada (CNN)
- This is a city that loves a great prizefight, and Sen. Harry Reid used to be a boxer, so it was inevitable at a big rally here Friday night that President Obama would cast his friend as the fighter who's about to get off the canvas and deliver an unexpected win.

But my takeaway from spending several days out West with the president this week is that he's the one who appears to be back in fighting shape. And that may be the best news Democrats have gotten in months.

Too often over the course of the past two years, Obama has had to deal with the same whispers that an aging prizefighter has to deal with: Quite simply, has he lost a step?

Thank you, Ed Henry for your positive comments on our President. It was refreshing and much appreciated.

Obama owes Harry Reid big time. As Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid pulled every trick in the Washington Politician playbook in blind support of Obama's every wish. And because of that we have the Economic Stimulus, ObamaCare, Cash-to-buy-Toyotas, Wall Street and Housing Bailouts. The list goes on and they all have one thing in common. They didn't work as-advertised and America took it in the shorts because the Democratic Washington Political Establishment had a political liberal agenda.

Obama owes Harry Reid big time. Nevada and the rest of America just owe. For decades.

Where is the outrage that Nevadans should have against Ensign, and all the republicans in congress who voted against every measure that would help them? Ensign and his ilk voted against the VA, GI's, the defense department, the unemployed, those without health insurance, job creation measures, and republicans drove our country to the edge of a great depression, which might have something to do with people not traveling to Vegas and Reno.

That was nice of the President to remind people what the opposition party did before they were voted out, and what they intend to do if elected. It has clicked my mind again and I think of many others. No way anyone with the right thinking will accept to go backwards.

God bless America and our president.

The nonsensical extreme from Sharon Angle is incredibly the one thing to actually get me to join the state in rooting "Harry! Harry! Harry!"

I encourage nevadans to support sen Hary Reid's re-election bid.The senator means well for the people by helping Obama pull America from the brink of depression. The republican policies got us there in the first place nd voting for them means going back to depression. At last, Americans are coming to terms with the lies of the republicans.

Obama has a better chance of seeing Jesus than having the majority in congress. Ed you and the biased media may still have the love but average Americans are suffering because of his policies. The majority of Democrats join the ranks of the unemployed in a few days. Obama will be a one term President. His policies and performance is worse than Jimmy Carter. All obama can do is talk a big game.
