Biden hits century mark on campaign trail

Washington (CNN) - The White House says Vice President Joe Biden will hit a major milestone Monday afternoon.

Biden is scheduled to headline a campaign event in Nashua, New Hampshire for Democratic congressional candidate Ann McLane. The White House, in a release, says the event will be the vice president's 100th for Democratic candidates this midterm cycle.

Biden is trying to help McLane keep an open House seat in party hands. Incumbent Rep. Paul Hodes, who's represented New Hampshire's second congressional district for two terms, is running for the state's open Senate seat. The Cook Political Report and the Rothenberg Political Report, two of the top non-partisan political handicappers, rate the race as a toss-up.

Earlier Monday, after addressing the International Association of Chiefs of Police annual conference in Orlando, Florida, Biden is the main attraction at a campaign reception for Rep. Alan Grayson.

Americans appear to be divided on the vice president. According to a CNN/Opinion Research Corporation national poll conducted in September, 43 percent of the public had a favorable opinion of Biden, with an equal amount saying they had an unfavorable opinion, and 15 percent unsure.

All of that and the "summer of prosperity" too? Talk about failure.
