(CNN) – The national Tea Party group that helped Joe Miller win the Republican Senate primary in Alaska now says they're going up with two new commercials in support of the GOP nominee.
Tea Party Express tells CNN Thursday that one of the two ads touts Miller's biography while the other criticizes Sen. Lisa Murkowski, who was defeated by Miller in the August primary and who is now running as a write-in candidate in next week's general election.
The Tea Party Express, which is based in Sacramento, California, endorsed Miller early this summer and spent nearly $600,000 during the primary campaign to help Miller, once a long-shot, defeat Murkowski.
Tea Party Express says that their initial ad buy in Alaska will be $30,000, but they expect to spend six figures by Election Day. They say their ad buy will be smaller than the money they spent during the primary because Miller is now receiving assistance from the National Republican Senatorial Committee.
Miller's been stung by controversies over the past three weeks and a CNN/Time/Opinion Research Corporation poll released last week indicated that Miller and Murkowski, who is part of a political dynasty in Alaska, were deadlocked at 37 percent each among likely voters, with 23 percent saying they'd vote for Sitka Mayor Scott McAdams, the Democrats' nominee.
The ads come as former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, whose endorsement this summer helped Miller in the primary, teams up with the GOP nominee Thursday at a rally in Anchorage.

Joe Miller had been lie to the people of ALASKA and if you send him to D.C. he will lie again. SARAN PALIN back this guy, either you people was trying to throw SARAN PALIN out of the GOV. office or she quit on the people of ALASKA. So why would you vote a person she back,me I wouldn't vote for any one she back.
Oops! Almost forgot!! His people handcuffed a reporter for trying to get him to answer some questions. When they talk about the nazis it's probably because that is exactly what and who they are and we are seeing our future as a Nation if this people are allowed to govern.
