(CNN) - The Democratic nominee for Senate in Washington has the advantage in the evergreen state, according to a new poll.
In a new KCTS 9/KPLU/Washington poll, three-term incumbent Senator Patty Murray is leading Republican Dino Rossi 51 percent to 45 percent among likely voters. The poll has a sampling error of plus or minus 4.3 percent.
Some of the most powerful Democrats in the country have visited the state lately to campaign for Murray, a sign that Rossi, a former state Senator and unsuccessful gubernatorial candidate is giving Murray a run for her money.
President Obama, first lady Michelle Obama and Vice President Biden have all stumped for Murray in the final month of the campaign.
The new numbers mirror other recent polls that show Murray slightly ahead in the state.
