Obama heads to Seacrest

(CNN) - First "The View," then "The Daily Show" and now "On Air with Ryan Seacrest?"

President Obama will fill the airwaves on Election Day for his first interview with Ryan Seacrest, the radio DJ and host of "American Idol," according to the White House.

Seacrest took to his Facebook page Monday to elicit questions.

The interview will be available on his website after it airs. "On Air" is syndicated to hundreds of stations across the country.

According to Deputy White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest, the president taped the Seacrest spot, as well as a spot on Russ Parr and Steve Harvey's shows Monday afternoon. He also did local radio interviews with hosts in Milwaukee, Cincinnati, Philadelphia, Honolulu and Miami.

Mr. TV man needs to stop all this look how great I am and start acting like a president by staying out of sight and working on the problems this country is facing. But no he is to busy showboating to be president.

Sure would not want to get an interviewer that would ask him real questions. I guess that is why the incompetent, inept, corrupt, lying, union toady keeps going on these soft shows that no one watches or cares about. Trivial shows for a trival president.

As I said in one of my comments earlier that Obama should have gone to Hollywood instead of to Washington. He seems to be more involved in the entertainment world than governing this country. Obama please make up your mind whether you are the president or not. The office of the president is becoming so demeaning now because Obama wants to be in the sportlight all the time so he is going on these ridiculous shows all the time. If he governed as well as he is entertaining, this country would be doing great.

If he does not want the job he can quit and go into show biz. That seems to more suit him.

I feel that the President has done well. First, by supporting the big financial Institutions like AIG etc he has prevented roller coaster fall like the one that happened after Leighman Bros.was allowed to collapse. Then by financial reforms he is trying to prevent a repeat of what happened. He has saved the iconic American Auto Industry. He has started new Research in all areas of science and industry including clean energy. In healthcare he has extended coverage for young people under parents' insurance until age 26. He is implementing electronic medical records and no denial because of pre existing conditions. He has done well in Foreign policy and in national security. The stock market has come back. Many pension funds are looking good.
I hope all of these good work will not be destroyed in the current frenzy.

I cannot believe the President will go this low to win an election. Truth is, if his policies are really, he doesn't have to behave like mere hollywood folks. Have some pride Mr. Obama to the title that people gave you.

Complain all you want GOP clones. The reality is that unfortunately VERY few Americans actually vote. It does suck it has to come to this. Don't deny the facts though that the President has to resort to this type of tactic to recruit people to get off the sofa and vote on election day.

Good for him! If lies were eliminated from all the ads and only facts were allowed to be run, he would not need to do this. when you have an entire party and their coprorate machine behind it lying to Americans, all you have left is populat media to get the message out.
The Republicans cry that the Democrats have the unions behind them. This means the working class of America. Who are these corporate interests that have money for advertising but not for jobs? THINK BEFORE YOU VOTE.

Obama has truly lost it. This is a stupid move and people will only see him for the Hollywood star wannabee that he is.

Two years ago, he was accepting the Democratic nomination in front of a mock Parthenon; now, to try to recapture the young voters he’s lost, he’s forced to make chitchat with the host of our generation’s Gong Show. What’s next? A tango with Michelle on tonight’s Dancing With the Stars followed by a pitch to go vote?

Well, given the level of reporting on channels like FOX and CNN, he's likely to be asked more rational questions by Seacrest.

I think from a political strategy point of view he is being brilliant. He hit up the View with a majority female viewership, the Daily Show which has a young liberal base, and now Seacrest who also has a viewership of young pple. In two years he is gonna need these pple and to revitalize his own liberal young base to show up and vote for him if he has any shot at a second term even if it doesnt help for the mid term election. -btw he is a great president dealing with morons who are questioning whether he is an American rather than deal with issues and come with alternative solutions. Let's remember its the job of Congress to legislate not hte PResident.

This is utterly ridiculous! The president of the United States being interviewed by Ryan Seacrest? Obama has now sunk to a new low. He is now trying to appeal to the American Idol mentality in order to get votes. This move is his most "unpresidential" yet!

There has been repeated expressions of fear that Obama is for a big government
and that he is a socialist. A study of history will show that Social Security,Medicare,Public Aid, the computer industry, the space industry, public education etc are all either being run by the Government or were started by the Government. All of these happened when the President was either not born or very young. Please do not destroy a revovery in it's infancy.
    God bless America.
