Washington (CNN) - One day before the midterm elections, President Obama is staying mostly behind close doors to make calls and do radio interviews.
White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said the president will tape "several syndicated radio programs" on Monday, to be aired on Tuesday.
Gibbs said that between 8 and 9 p.m. ET Monday, the President will make phone calls to Democratic volunteers in Florida, New Hampshire, New Mexico and Hawaii.

DemocRATS would have been better off if he stayed behind doors all year and actually fulfilled his duties as President instead of running around the country vacationing, campaigning and fund raising. Almost 20% of the American people are unemployed and this buffoon just doesn't get it. To say he is out of touch is the understatement of the century.
Well, Mr. President, you did not close Guantanamo, you have not ended the wars (which continue with no real plan), you let torturers and war criminals off scott-free, you threw lots of money at every problem (without much success), you barely got an extremely watered down version of the health bill through, you allowed offshore drilling, and you sat complacently by in your insulated White House and without any defense let the looney right control the tone of politics.
So Wednesday morning when you wonder why you lost so heavily, go look at the mirror and ask "I wonder why my own side doesn't like me anymore?
Even if these republican scumbags takeover the House, won't any bill get out of the Senate. And if it makes it to the President's desk, he'll veto it. There will be no progress in Washington. If republicans were smart, they will hope they lose tomorrow. Because when 2012 rolls around, all republicans are getting kicked out of office.
The Dems ground troops are well organised in such a way one couldn't imagine. After the outcome tomorrow, this is where the president is going to get a big credit in initiating and mobilising such a movement of what he calls "bottom-up". It is quite remarkable!
