(CNN) - The economy isn’t just the most important issue to voters this year – with unemployment hovering around 9.6 percent, it’s roughly twice as important to them as the other top issues of concern combined, according to early exit polls.
Sixty-two percent of voters name the economy as their most important issue this year. Health care ranks a distant second, at 19 percent. Illegal immigration and Afghanistan follow at 8 and 7 percent.

If the economy is the #1 issue, it should be a landslide by the Democrats. Obama was handed an economy losing 750,000 jobs per month, a crashing wallstreet, millions losing their homes and the world hateing us because of the COWBOY DIPLOMACY by the CROOKED Bush/Cheney RESIME, PLUS TWO WARS..
It is such a shame that we forget the horror that is Capitalsim show by the Republicans during so many of their terms in the oval office.
Democrat's fingerprints are all over this bad economy. Some liberal RINOS as well but this is going to be a rejection of liberalism not a rejection of incumbents. Liberalism doesn't work.
The Repubs have changed. When McCain ran their motto was "Country First". All the while taking Insurance company bribes er I mean donations. Country First also means People Second. The repubs are no longer "for the people", they are for the filthy rich.
I hope and pray that the Dems er us Dems take total control of the country. The credit score and insurance score needs abolished first and foremost. All it does is DEFINE CLASS. The IRS needs changed for our new VAT tax. If you can spend more then you can pay more taxes. Give us universal health care. Then we will be on the correct track.

Immigration, the economy,and all the wars are intertwining problems. Deport the millions here illegally and you will have more jobs overnight easy answer but Obama won't do it because he cares more about his own re-election. Stop spending money on wars and we can re-invest here at home and in our future.
