(CNN) – Fresh off a victory Tuesday in her hotly contested and closely watched re-election bid, Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minnesota, refused to identify specific cuts to the federal budget while, at the same time, criticized what she called "over-the-top" spending for an upcoming presidential trip.
When asked in an interview that airs Wednesday on CNN's Anderson Cooper 360° whether she would support cuts to Social Security and Medicare, Bachmann slammed the White House for the costs of President Obama's forthcoming trip to India.

This wing nut (Bachmann) is waiting for God to tell her whether or not she should run for President or if she should insert in the Constitution that Social Security is evil. She is euphoric that God didn't tell her that run away spending in the Bush Administration was amoral and evil.
Looks like Bachmann would like the President to travel coach..or maybe just stay home and not go anywhere in the world. Typical Tea Party attitude.

Why should Michele Bachmann answer this question? I am sure there is a unified and agreed upon course of action ahead concerning ways to cut spending.
Now if you ask me-WHY would you ask Michele such a question, when you let Nancy Pelosi pass a HUGE health care reform bill she NEVER read, and NOT ask her any questions? WHY did you not ask for specifics from dear Nancy, on an enormous, unpopular bill that most Americans didn't want? Get a grip people. We are not stupid. Play fair-PLEASE!!!
We've got to be more specific about solutions. We need more than just attacks – that's too easy during times like this.

I just watched Bachmann in the Cooper interview. This woman doesn't have a clue. She said that "We need to reform Social Security so that it can stand on it's own". She has NO idea how Social Security actually works and is content with spewing inaccurate generalizations. OMG, what kind of idiot did you people in Minnesota elect.
start by cutting the subsidies to your farmer relatives Bachmann. then increase revenue by imposing a tax on church profits.

The ignorance displayed by this woman indicates that she has no idea what "spending cuts" need to be made, just that she HEARD that they need to be done. Sad.
These are the types of comments that ensure this particular batch of GOP leaders will be a tide indeed, ebbing as quickly as they flowed.
Cuts are coming! Unemployment won't see extensions, Food Stamps will get scaled back as well. Hopefully Welfare and Medicaid get trimmed as well. Entitlements can't continue the country is broke.

It will soon be time for the Republicans to start making their cuts. If you are old, mentally or physically challenged, a minority, poor, uneducated, a schoolkid, a woman, gay or any religion but protestant, watch your wallet.
Any government program that helps any of the above groups is about to be under financial assault. Those are all folks who are not necessarily a big part of the Republican base. I know the Republicans promised that they would take care of you, but that was before they got elected. If you are not part of a narrow section of the populace the Republicans try to protect, (wealthy, middle-aged to older white men and ultra right-wing religious zealots), you are completely out of luck. The only people Republican Politicians take care of are Rich Republicans.
She really is a ditz. How did the folks of Minnesota swallow her slippery (and stupid) answers? She is positioning herself for 2012 and as some sort of mouthpiece for the new Tea Republicans. They can have her. She is an intellectual weakling and caters to angry voters that are only too frustrated with themselves and inability to balance their own check books.
Now that the Tea Party has responsibilities we will see how popular they are. The Tea Party ran on a blank check and now it time to cash it in. What will they do?

I was the frist person to send CNN a message saying that the Independents will get Obama elected tell CNN to fact check that. I see through the Republican- Tea Party and they will not fix the economy. There will be fighting amoung the Tea Party and the Republican party because they wanna take the country in different directions. Leaving Pres. Obama caught up in the middle while trying to fix the economy and reach the goal getting back to course witch is Solor, electric, natral gas and moving off OIL. Independents don't vote for crazies we see through crazy. Crazy is spending 140 million and don't win, could have put it to our national debt. Millions and Billions on ads for T.V could have went toward our debt. Health Care for all Americans, S.S for all elders who have paid into it. I just recived a call from the Republican Party saying he didn't care about getting S.S when he gets older. What is he saying he's going to be rich all his life and that he's not going to need any help in his life. When we saw with 911 and this economy that life has it's ups and downs. Michelle Bachmann lies as usual, she claims to be a christian, but she is one evil woman, and lying for her is as easy as breathing. She wants to take away from everyone, but she and family receive huge farm subsidies, so he fits the typical republican hypocrite role.
How is this any different than prior to the election? She offered no specific cost reduction ideas before the election , why would you expect any now? She's not alone, there were many candidates that followed the same template. Hell, there were even candidates refusing to be interviewed and many still received a large amount of support and votes. Many Americans embrace Our elections as if voting for an "American Idol" so why would you expect any of these people to offer real solutions?
This woman is as divisive, sensationalist, and brain-dead as anybody out there. She's Rush Limbaugh, only much slimmer, and female. Not one fact has ever come out of her mouth. It's amazing that this woman was educated in an American school system. And shame on the people of Minnesota for not tossing her aside.
