Giuliani: I think Palin will run for president

(CNN) - Former New York City mayor and Republican presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani said Wednesday that he believes Sarah Palin will launch a bid for president in 2012.

"My guess is yes – she's going to run for president," Giuliani told CNN's Wolf Blitzer. "She sounds to me like somebody who's running for president."

Giuliani predicted as many as 15 GOP contenders may seek the Republican Party nomination.

The former mayor said Republicans should "put off the [2012 presidential] election" and "try to accomplish a few things first," citing a potential compromise on the extension of tax cuts set to expire at the end of the year.

Giuliani praised the Obama administration's homeland security apparatus in the wake of a series of parcel interceptions that appear to have thwarted an attack planned by al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula.

But, he said the White House lost credibility after law enforcement officials detained the so-called "underwear bomber" and processed him as a domestic criminal on Christmas Day in 2009.

"There's no reason to treat him like a domestic criminal," Giuliani said. "He's a war criminal. If these people had pulled off this attack, would we treat them as domestic criminals?"

The interview aired on CNN's The Situation Room.

You know what they say, as California goes so does the US :)
...with about a 2-3 year lag....

And seeing that a not a single Republican won anything bigger than a congressional district in California, you Republicans are doomed, yes you had your moment last night, but that is the last gasp of a dying dog that is cornered, one last bite you've had...

...savor it because it won't last very long ;)

With George Bush the Republicans chose the path of un-enlightenment and anti-intellectualism. Sarah Palin takes it down another couple notch to pure stupidity.

Republicans. They only love you if you’re a fetus. Have the misfortune to actually get born non-white or non-“christian “ or poor and you immediately become a burden at best, and more likely a threat to their perceived superiority.

Hey palin have a great chance of being president, all fox got to do is get the ultra scary white suburbanites scared and the white hicks screaming mad over nothing then she'll win in a landslide.

Way to go out on a limb there, Rudy - predicting a presidential run from someone who has already been campaigning for more than two years.

What's next? Are you going to predict that Pawlenty might run, too? He's only been running for about a year and half now.

Dah, of course she's going to run. She will win all the primaires in the rural states in the South and the West and become the Republican nominee. Big problem for the Republicans because while out of the GOP pack of candidates, she's the winner, she CAN"T win against any Democrat, let alone a sitting president.

Let's see, in her ad for her Alaskan reality show she says I would rather be doing this than have some stuffy political position. Does that sound like someone that should be President? Will she quit that like her Governor's job? I think Rudy is still delusional. Sarah couldn't cut it as President.

Excuse me, the former governor of NY, a loser, endorsing the former governor of Alaska, another loser, is a not a winning ticket–two wrongs still don't make a right.

Did Rudy notice that Sarah's one of hand-picked Senate candidates got clobbered by a write-in in her own home state? I suspect her credibility is sliding fast right now.

I am soooooooo disappointed with the Govt in this country( all 3 parties) the lack of respect, the constant bickering, name calling etc, These Candidates act like children and this is who we have to look to run this country??...I was very taken back by some of the things I heard Republicans say .." take back the country" ( who has it?) ..BIG News: If you hold a seat in Congress or Gov YOU are responsible for this mess..
I am sooo disappointed with not only where we are but where we are going that I am looking into retiring outside the USA because I have serious doubts if the people in this country can work together to fix anything.. What Happened to the USA???

Rudi apparently thinks that our constitution is worthless as written. Let me translate his statement about the underwear bomber for you: "Due process is fine and dandy – just dont apply it to people we already know are guilty, or we'll go all TEA-Party on you."

Why dont they work on doing their share of helping to fix the economy and the country before they go off campaigning 2 years out. What? They want to regain power again so they can wreck the country again?

This is a sad day indead when the thought of a not very bright spotlight money grubber like Palin could run for president. The American people have spoken but it amazes me that they are so ill informed. When people like giuliani can moth off likehe does about the president I really don't see much change in washinton. Just more from the party of No. To bad we need to back our president and woke for the betterment of all.

but will she win???not even a REMOTE chance–that is if the republicans get really desperate and nominate her.
A truly , stupid , despicable woman, and there are enough people who see right through her .

I am ticked off about these elections. I have said it before and I'll say it again. Obama should've had tanks on the streets yesterday. He is not going about this thing in the right way! You have to be tougher, man! Hopefully he will have a better idea of what he has to do in 2012.
