Murkowski appears to have lead in Alaska

(CNN) – Sen. Lisa Murkowski's bid to become only the second person to win a write-in campaign for U.S. Senate appeared on track in Alaska early Wednesday, with write-in candidates leading a Tea Party-backed Republican who beat her in a primary.

But even if the write-ins remained ahead of Republican nominee Joe Miller and Democratic candidate Scott McAdams, the outcome of Alaska's Tuesday general election apparently wouldn't be known for days, because officials need to determine which write-in votes actually went to Murkowski.

This is so embarrassing for Sarah Palin.... her endorsements failed in many other races (O'Donnell, Raese, etc) but now even in her own state!?!

If Alaskans can spell Lisa Murkowski correctly maybe this is what we have all been waiting for. The half term can't help one of her teabaggers win in her own state there nothing left for her except the media continuing to cram her down our throats. I am sure she will take credit for all those other red states though. She is that narcissistic.
Polls show that he endorsement doesn't work for most people. Doh!!

Alaskans are much smarter then people give them credit for, they were smart enough to give Palin a choice of retirement or criminal charges for her fraudulent expense claims. Now Alaskans are prooving that Sarah Palin and Joe Miller cannot fool the state with their lies and ego's. If Murkowsi prevails it does send yet another very strong message to Palin that she is still not a person that can be trusted and she can not hoodwink Alaskans any longer. Joe Miller and Sarah Palin are once again going to be proven wrong and their enouomous ego's will take a kicking. The most important part if Lisa wins is Sarah the bully will be shown that people are not as stupid as she would like them to be.
