Palin celebrates victories in web video

(CNN) - Look too quickly, and you'd think it was an early 2012 presidential campaign ad.

But less than 24 hours after votes had been tallied in the midterm elections, Sarah Palin is out with a glossy Web video touting a string of victories Tuesday of GOP candidates she backed this election cycle.

The more than 60-second spot, which was e-mailed to supporters Wednesday, features the voice of a Palin stump speech amid images of several conservative candidates who enjoyed the backing of Palin, including South Carolina Governor-elect Nikki Haley, New Mexico Governor-elect Susana Martinez, and Florida Senator-elect Marco Rubio.

But the video, which doesn't actually identify any of the winning candidates while showing them on the campaign trail, is primarily about Palin, who is repeatedly heard being lauded by cheering supporters as she delivers inspired messages about shaking up Washington, DC.

"Based on what I'm seeing there is more than enough reason to have faith in America," Palin is heard saying. "I'm confident and I am hopeful because this is our movement, this is our moment, this is our morning in America."

The video comes even as some Republicans are grumbling about her role during the midterms, which saw the former Alaska governor back more than 40 House and Senate candidates.

While nearly half of Palin-backed candidates were victorious, her picks of some GOP primary challengers over establishment-backed candidates who were believed to have a better shot of winning a general election has left a sour taste in the mouths of some in the GOP.

To that end, two notable Palin-backed candidates are absent from the new video: Alaska's Joe Miller and Delaware's Christine O'Donnell. Miller appears to be behind write-in candidate and incumbent Sen. Lisa Murkowski while O'Donnell was soundly defeated by Democrat Chris Coon.

"We're gonna stand up and we're gonna speak out," Palin is heard saying in the video, a seeming answer to her GOP critics. "It may take some renegades going rogue to get us there. It may take folks shaking it up to get there. We've got to do this together."

One has to laugh! What had happened to those who lost? All thrown under the bus!! Are they no longer important to her? Even Sherry Angle!!! She is a wacko.

Typical Sarah...has her head stuck in the snow.

The candidates that won, would have won their general elections just as easily without her endorsement. But by butting in to the primaries–where she DID have an influence–she cost the GOP at least three Senate seats. Then she claims victory.

This big Republican victory could have been MASSIVE if not for Palin's dumb moves during the primaries.

The point is, Palin only has influence with the extreme right. She has NO influence on the independent voters. Thus, she will never help anyone (or herself) in a general election.

Did she delve into why all her high profile candidates lost?

This is nothing more than her latest scam to pump more money into her PAC so she can maintain her aura.

Something this idiot seems to have forgotten is that her endorsements of the likes of Joe Miller, Carly Fiorina, Christine O'Donnell, and Sharron Angle were crucial to the Democrats keeping control of the Senate. I wouldn't be celebrating that if I were her.

Not bad for someone we had never heard of 2 years ago and for someone the liberal mainstream media that represents the dopers has been degrading and demeaning for 2 years.

Please run for President. It is your calling, your destiny. Never mind the naysayers, your country and the GOP need you to step up. It is the only way to win, the surest path to victory.

When I talk about irrational Americans this is the person they would elect as president. How long must we be embarrassed! We are a laughing stock to the world and our opinion on the world stage is garbage.

We used to gravitate to and try to elect the smartest person and most qualified person in the room. Now many are attracted to the guy or gal next door with a room temperature I.Q. and a sweet smile (i.e. Palin). We have truly dumbed down this country and now will get what we deserve.

My hat is off to Palin. She has single handedly destroyed the Republican Party.

O'Donnel was her creation. Lost. Miller was her creation. Probably lost. She backed Angle. Lost. She backed the Tea Party in Colorado - oops. She backed the Repubs in California. Nope. Maybe she's partying too soon....

Republicans won but they were the ones who would have won without her. Her particular brand did not do so well.

It's interesting that on Youtube where the video is posted, she has had the comments turned off. What is she afraid of? Why did she arrange it so that only her voice is heard, only her name is featured. Come to think of it, she, herself, didn't actually win anything. Why the victory video?

WOW!! And a very smart move..... I'll give her that much. Nonetheless, I still think Sarah Palin's political philosophy (what of it anyone can discern....) is warped and most certainly not in the country's best interest. Her influence in getting Baggers into Congress will prove a detriment to progress.

I think this just proves that the Palins are in this for self recognition. They dont give a damn about the country.

She is certifiably insane. She is delusional beyond belief. The fact that 85% of the country wants her to shrivle up and die still hasn't registered with her. She needs professional help NOW.
