Palin outlines lessons of 2010

(CNN) – Sarah Palin has learned a lot about politics this midterm election season and now she's advising fellow conservatives on how to avoid a few of the perilous pitfalls that beset some of the candidates she backed in 2010.

In a column for the National Review, the former Alaska governor lays out several "lessons" of the 2010 campaign, including the need to "fight back the lies immediately and consistently."

Referencing the Alaska Senate race, where the former governor endorsed Republican Joe Miller over incumbent GOP Sen. Lisa Murkowski, Palin suggests Miller all too easily allowed himself to be defined by the opposition.

"Some candidates assumed that, once they received their party's nomination, the conservative message would automatically carry the day," she writes. "Unfortunately, political contests aren't always about truth and justice. Powerful vested interests will combine to keep bad candidates in place and good candidates out of office."

Miller beat Murkowski in the primary but appears to trail the incumbent senator in the general election vote count after Murkowski ran an aggressive campaign as a write-in.

Palin is also warning future conservative candidates not to tempter their rhetoric in such a way to avoid labels of "extremism."

"If candidates are going to talk boldly on the campaign trail about entitlement reform and reducing the size of government, they must be prepared to word it in such a way as to minimize the inevitable fear-mongering accusations of 'extremism,'" Palin writes. "We are quickly approaching a fiscal turning point where these crucial reform discussions will be mandatory. We need to speak about them in a way that the public will embrace."

Though refraining from offering any hints at her own political future, Palin also makes clear she plans to play a key role in GOP's 2012 efforts.

"In 2012, we need to renew our optimistic, pioneering spirit, revive our free-market system, and restore constitutional limits and our standing in the world as the abiding beacon of freedom," she said.

Princess Palin, do not forget the lesson that the GOP is on the clock once the 112th Congrees convenes to turn around the economy. It will have about eighteen months to perfrom this miracle and you will not be able to sit on the sidelines and repeat the words "no", "socialism", "out of control spending" and "job killing". If you do not fulfill this promise, you will learn another hard political lesson in 2012, and you will be tossed out, once again. Time to put up or shut up.

This woman's political future is about as bright as a burned out light bulb. I wouldn't vote for her for dog catcher for fear the dogs may be used for big game hunting. I will no longer refer to her as an IDIOT as it is not fair to IDIOTS to elevate her to that level of intelligence. She claims there is the need to, "fight back the lies immediately and consistently" when in fact all she has to do is stop opening her mouth for every time she does open it a lie trips up and falls out. This woman has become wealthy by spreading her lies and fear mongering among those that will listen and believe her every word. At some point in the not to distant future I suspect she will slip and reveal her true vile, hateful and ignorant self for all to see and that includes her most loyal followers.

"... our standing in the world as the abiding beacon of freedom," she said. Hmm ... then why does the US rank #10 on the international prosperity index with socialist countries claiming the top spots? I don't need quitter Sarah Palin to teach me any "lessons."

I would like to see her talk about not telling lies! The term "Death Panels" comes to mind.

"fight back the lies immediately and consistently."

Unless they are the ones your campaign (and its anonymous deep-pocketed 'friends') are spreading ;-)

As always, lots of blather about process with no content.

She and her tea partiers chant fiscal conservatism without any statement of how to achieve it while continuing to make us competitive for the 21st century. How will be renew our infrastructure? How do we build sustainable communities?

In another 40 years China will be the dominant world economic power, mainly because we have lacked the foresight to invest in the future.

The biggest lesson the TP'ers should take from 2010 is the importance of VETTING YOUR CANDIDATES! I mean, come on, Ken Buck, Sharon Angle, Christine O'Donnell, Joe Miller? REALLY? And those are just the ones who lost. We're all going to be stuck with the ones who won their races, added to the likes of Louis Gohmert, Michelle Bachmann, and Virginia Fox, crazies, one and all.

Yet another palin story. She IS NOT and WILL NEVER BE our president. Why should anyone care what she says? Why is she always at the TOP of your tickers CNN? She DOES NOT make decisions, implement policies or sway intelligent voters. I am sick of her getting so much (un)deserved attention. She's a trailer trash, imbecile from the wilderness where ONLY in America would gather such a drawing. Would you please give our president some respect (I know that's hard) by placing him at the top of your tickers?

    Thank you.

CNN: "Sarah Palin has learned a lot about politics this midterm election season...."

Uhhh...CNN? I think Sarah Palin knows a lot more than YOU do with regard to politics, in this – or any – election season.

By the way, excellent way-forward plan from Sarah Palin, and great video from her PAC highlighting the victors she endorsed, raised money for and helped pull across the finish line. What have YOU done lately, CNN?

Mother, PTA activist, city council member, mayor, oil and gas commissioner, governor, vice-presidential candidate, best-selling author, political kingmaker, speechgiver to countless tens of thousands, television show executive producer and hostess. She hunts, she fishes, she runs a business and has made millions of dollars BY HER OWN EFFORTS. Next stop: President of the United States.

Palin needs to take time and "read" the educational backgrounds of 11 women presidents around the world as well as their husbands or if she doesn't want to do that, read Hillary Clinton's. Hillary didn't get where she is without hard work, education as well as experience, neither did Bill. Our standing in the World would surely end up as an abiding beacon of uneducated idiots with Palin and if you notice she never talks about education and there's a good reason for that, water seeks it's own level.

I'll give her credit for figuring out how to keep her fans interested in what she is doing and sending her money. That's all it is – the fanatics who adore her maybe 12% of the population or half the tea baggers, but the rest of us don't care to hear her latest mindless dribble. She's always crying about how the "lamestream media" doesn't treat her right. But at CNN they love her. I'd prefer to never hear about her again.
Unless she actually runs for office or says something inteliigent (that would be news) please CNN – let her 15 minutes end.

Treanslation: "Dummies. You're not supposed to actually tell them that you want to eviscerate SS, Medicare, the Dept. of Education, etc. etc. Next time, hide it better. Then, once the lectorate is lulled to complacency and doesn't realize how dangerous you are, do it once you get elected."

For Palin, fighting back the lies
is a full time job. The media spins
    all sorts of anonymous misinformation
while all the liberal followers out
there like many of you on this blog just
repeat the lies continuosly like trained
    brain dead seals.
    Considering how the totalitarian
media meat heads like Joy Behar, Rachel Maddow,
Chris Mathews, Keith Oberman, and Cafferty
just keep pounding her with silly ass
childish crap all the time, it's a wonder
she doesn't fold her tent up.
But I have faith in the old saying:
" The good guys will win in the end."
Despite the bigotry, racism, and intolerant
closemindedness of the liberal media Palin
    will prevail.
I never thought in America the day would
come when someone would be hated so
fervently for being a God fearing, hard working,
    heterosexual attractive woman.
The remarks that many of you make about her
husband and children only support my image
of you as toothless, backward, ku klux klan
    level caliber elitist liberals.

SARAN PALIN is till UNQUALIFIED to run for President. She couldn't even win her own state. She back Mr. miller and the ALASKA people say I don't think so.

Ms. Palin is telling her fellow GOP'rs to "fight back lies immediately and consistently". Look who's calling the pot black, the queen of lies and smears. How she can say those words with a straight Christian face is beyond belief. What a fraud. If we've learned anything in this election is, the country has been smitten by sexy, cute and perky. Intelligence and experience is not a requirement for running for political office, in fact it's a detriment.

"If candidates are going to talk boldly on the campaign trail about entitlement reform and reducing the size of government, they must be prepared to word it in such a way as to minimize the inevitable fear-mongering accusations of 'extremism,'" Palin writes. In other words: don't let the public know what you're really going to do once elected, make sure to be so nonspecific that you can't be held accountable for anything. Sounds like the Shrilla from Wasilla is becoming everything she (supposedly) has sought to change in politics. BTW – She single-handedly cost the Reps the Senate, so I say, "Thanks!"

Chris almighty!!! Another brain fart from the twitter brainless queen.
Most of the reason her AK boy toy didn't win in spite of him having to grovel because he dared not endorse her as presidential material was because Alaskans did "fight back the lies immediately and consistently". miller lied so they didn't vote for him it had nothing to do with him/you allowing him to be defined by the opposition. What the heck does that mean?
Okay, I almost can understand what she is saying (even if she has no ideas or solutions). Did she finally get somebody with half a bvrain to write these crap up for her?
I wish we were still in our pioneering days when people like her wouldn't have a chance to cross the US in their wagons! Could you please stop making this bimbo and anything she says relevant?
SHE IS NOT A POLITICIAN. SHE COULDN'T GET THE VOTE IN HER OWN STATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ANYONE PAYING ATTENTION OUT THERE? If she ever comes out from hiding behind twitter and facebook to face the real world, not those crazies within hes half brain, I want some reporter to man up and grow some cojones and ask her exactly what the means by constitution limits explain what she is going to do when we approach the fiscal turning point (whatever that means).
this coming from one of the most extreme, devisive members of the AK independent party to ever walk the earth.

I say that we define Palin by what she has done - quit! She doesn't seem to know or learn policy. She is a pundit and doesn't like to be corrected when she is wrong. That is how she should be defined.
