Dem: 'I'm not voting for Nancy Pelosi'

Washington (CNN) - Democratic Rep. Jason Altmire, a moderate Democrat from a conservative district in western Pennsylvania says, "I am not voting for Nancy Pelosi."

"I don't get the sense that Speaker Pelosi understands what happened on Tuesday. We lost middle America. The Democratic party got crushed," Altmire told CNN in a telephone interview from his district. "I would rather have someone who understands middle America and someone who can relate to the districts we lost," he said.

Altmire noted that many of his fellow Democrats in districts near his lost their seats, including Kathy Dahlkemper of Pennsylvania, Charlie Wilson of Ohio, and John Boccieri also of Ohio.

"I understand what happened Tuesday. I had an incredibly close race," said Altmire.

Despite his opposition to Pelosi, Altmire said she will easily be victorious in her quest to be House Minority Leader.

"She will win. There is no question about that," said Altmire.

He said he did not want to "name names" about whom he would like to see challenge Pelosi, but said with her as the lead Democrat "we are never going to win back the seats we lost."

Altmire voted against major pieces of Democratic legislation, including the health care bill.

Please, Please, Please. Every Democrat should vote for Nancy as minority leader. Her face and Obamas face on billboards, TV, and the internet will generate millions and millions of votes for the Republicans in 2012. Liberals are sure delusional aren't they. Gotta be the drugs.

"We lost middle America." That's not all. With Pelosi and Obama breaking some significant promises and cozying up to Corporate America, they have lost a lot of the liberals too. And it goes without saying that they never had the far right wing.

Not too many folks left who will still get all excited about the Change that turned into the Status Quo.

Jason Altmire is a fool and is totally wrong!! Nancy Pelosi should run for Minority Leader and win. Also, the Democrats will regain the lost house seats in two years if they improve the economy and put people back to work, explain their accomplishments to the American people and develop a tactical strategy for winning in 2012.

"I would rather have someone who understands middle America and someone who can relate to the districts we lost," he said.

All you gotta do to get middle America on your side is say, "Jesus and guns good. Mexicans and Muslims and poor people and taxes bad. My opponent is a socialist." And the Gomers in flyover country will vote for you every time. Have a nice day!

He's not really a Democrat is he afraid to run as the republican he is. those type of people only ran as Democrats to take the seat away from a real Democrat. Who cares what he thinks. He has to run again in two years and by that time he will be so polluted and the tea bags will get rid of him. I think Democrats should start a campaign as to how much the love him that will knock him out in no time.

Democrats lost Middle America because when they tried to compromise with Republicans, by adopting positions Republicans used to support (on cap-and-trade, McCain co-sponsored a cap-and-trade legislation in 2008; on health care, Romney enacted the Massachusetts health care plan in 2006, which is the model for Obama's health care bill), Republicans are successful in painting these positions as socialist. Republicans have moved so far to the right that they are now in the Atlantic Ocean. What used to be Republican positions are now socialist.

You THINK??!!! Obozo, Reid and Peloser think they have a "communication problem"!! These arrogant dimwits think all of us are dummies that aren't paying attention and don't know what they are doing and how they are doing it. Altmire GETS IT. The Three Stooges leading them to another slaughter in 2012 will NEVER GET IT. They are dangerous and need to be removed from office ASAP.

Her approval ratings helped sink the Democrats on November 2nd. PLEASE put her back into a public position, so 2012 will be even more of a landslide for the Republicans. Can't wait!

This is funny stuff, Pelosis' arrogance is wonderful for the republicans. Its not her that doesnt get it, its the people who are to stupid to understand she is doing it all for us. Come on Nancy you are killing the the party, just cant give up that free jet ride every week can you. And the Obama Care thats wonderful, how did you slip in the 3.8% tax on the sale of homes starting in 2013. I am guessing thats the stuff you feel the public will love once they understand whats in the bill. As and independent this is exactly why I voted republican this time around and looks like I will in 2012 at this rate

    DEMOCRATS/LIBERALS

Did you as a group, collectively drop a hit of acid earlier this week?

First, you get the living hell kicked out of you in the mid-term elections.

Then, you re-elect Harry Reid, one of the three morons who helped lead most of your party off of the cliff.

Then, you say "there is nothing wrong with our ideas, the message was not communicated effectively".

Then, your poster boy Olbermann gets caught violating NBC rules regarding his contributions to liberal Democrats (big shock...not really).

Then, your other poster boy, Lawrence O'Donnell finally comes out of the closet and admits he is a socialist (another big shock...not really).

Then, Nancy Pelosi, the most despised politician in America announces she is going to run for House Minority Leader.

As a conservative, I want to thank you for this wonderful week of entertainment. I can hardly wait to see what happens next week.
