BREAKING: Pelosi running for Dem leader

(CNN) - Outgoing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Friday she will run for minority leader, even as some moderate and conservative Democrats have said she should step aside.

Pelosi made the announcement on Twitter: "Driven by the urgency of creating jobs & protecting #hcr, #wsr, Social Security & Medicare, I am running for Dem Leader."

i encourage her to go forth and lead. it is refreshing to have an intelligent woman we can respect and have to represent the female mindset and thus provide the balance needed. too many suits continue to tip the balance off, especially on that side of the aisle.

Oh boy...get ready for some over-the-top, end of the world outrage by the right. Because we all know, everything that is going wrong in this country is Pelosi's fault, and nobody elses. Oh ya, Reid and Obama too (almost forgot the complete talking points)

I found myself singing that ding-dong song from the Wizard of OZ when I saw Sister Pelosi would no longer be my Speaker. Then I was bummed when I saw Brother Reid was going to be reelected... but this news is the best of all the game. Obama, Pelosi, Reid all sticking around for 2012…don’t you just love it when a plan starts coming together.

  11. What is the country coming to

Yes, I like are....she is a strong woman, for those who don't just wish that they were as strong. She get alot of BS coming to her because she is a woman. But she is smart and she is willing to help the American people. People don't like her
because you see her all over the media, but that is her job. You right ass ho%es you want to talk shit on her, get a life , because the GOP is going to do nothing. Except helping big business and big money they are ready to cash in their marker. When you see more jobs going over seas. Then maybe you will wake up and don't smell the jobs.
Also the first thing the GOP want todo ie repeal health care mmmmmmmthe big insurance giants are ready to cash in their maker. CAN you right wings fools see what going on? You voted for these fools and all they did for the last to years was nothing. So you voted for nothing and you will get nothing..........enjoy your trip.

Go Nancy! Don't be a push over. Who do these rotten republicans/democrats think they are? First, they try and muscle our president and now you. Please run. We need you.

    Thanks a California citizen.

My prediction is that we will shortly see a bunch of posts about the way she looks, talks, etc. Also a bunch of posts about "the Libs" being losers and crooks, while not a word will be uttered about loser and crooks in the Republican party by many of those posters. The Republicans and the Democrats are like two Mafia families accusing each other of being thieves, yet fanboys on this site continue to post one-sided damnations. The political dialog on these sites reveals a fundamental problem....the two party system, which invites people to treat the whole thing like a football game. Winning is everything, but–evidently with BOTH sides–governing is nothing.
