(CNN) - Outgoing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Friday she will run for minority leader, even as some moderate and conservative Democrats have said she should step aside.
Pelosi made the announcement on Twitter: "Driven by the urgency of creating jobs & protecting #hcr, #wsr, Social Security & Medicare, I am running for Dem Leader."

Nancy was attacked and vilified by the right because she was the most powerful woman in the government and the most effective legislator. They vilified her while protesting any disagreemnt with their candidates, Anle and Odonell. Imagine one of them trying to live up to Nancy's effectivenss, grace underfire, and tenacity. You go Nancy.

Her arrogance and desperation are actually becoming comical to watch. Pelosi's performance was just a disgrace. As if life long democrat, I have to say the only way the party will earn any respect going forward will be to push Pelosi out of the picture. She and Harry Reid had an opportunity to work with the president and acutally do some good for the country. Instead, she and Reid each took their own path, failed to work as a team and did nothing to help fix the real problems facing the country. Pelosi was just selfish and useless. Move her aside.
