BREAKING: Pelosi running for Dem leader

(CNN) - Outgoing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Friday she will run for minority leader, even as some moderate and conservative Democrats have said she should step aside.

Pelosi made the announcement on Twitter: "Driven by the urgency of creating jobs & protecting #hcr, #wsr, Social Security & Medicare, I am running for Dem Leader."

If the dems put that woman back in charge of anything, I've lost all hope for politics in America.

Good! Nancy Pelosi is a good Democrat, no reason to have her step aside. Can we stop taking cues from Conservatives and start doing what we Liberals want?

She's so power-hungry that she can't see straight. A house Democrat would stand a good chance of keeping their seat if they did not vote for Pelosi for speaker.

America has rejected the Pelosi/Obama agenda. I guess she wants the GOP to pick up 60 more seats in 2012.

I think the American people are tired of her already. She is a very polarizing woman. I am sure there are better women for that position!

If there was any one person who should take responsibility for the Democrats' unprecedented loss on Tuesday, it is Nancy Pelosi. She was easily one of the most ineffectual Speakers of the House; President Obama had to do HER job to push any legislation through.
As soon as Scott Brown won MA's Senate seat, she threw up her hands and stated that she would not be able to pass the health care bill in the House. It passed in spite of her "leadership" due to the President's own efforts, not anything she did.
The only people who should support her would be the Republicans, since they are incapable of passing more than gas.
