BREAKING: Pelosi running for Dem leader

(CNN) - Outgoing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Friday she will run for minority leader, even as some moderate and conservative Democrats have said she should step aside.

Pelosi made the announcement on Twitter: "Driven by the urgency of creating jobs & protecting #hcr, #wsr, Social Security & Medicare, I am running for Dem Leader."

Completely out of touch with reality. One delusional individual who the left wing nuts have decided represents their agenda. I I couldn't be happier she is representing them. This will cinch the next elections towards conservatives for certain.

WAY to go Idiot,.. put a face with the name of defeat for the Democrats. Your ugly mug on the cameras every night during the squabbling for the next two years will ensure a Republican in the White house in 2012. Go Nancy!!!

Is this a joke? What would possess democrats to put this woman in charge of their caucus after she presided over the biggest defeat in modern history?

I'm a liberal Democrat from California, but even I think the Dems in the House should choose a new leader. Not a conservative, mind you, but somebody (a) younger, (b) more telegenic, (c) who has not been demonized, and (d) a little more toward the center. In other words, a savvy young moderate will serve the House Dems better in the next two years going into the 2012 election cycle. Let the Republicans look like the old fogies.

And then, speaking of old, get rid of Tim Kaine as head of the DNC. He's horrible at driving and articulating Democratic themes that people can actually understand, and obviously horrible at getting out the vote. (Oh how I miss Howard Dean!) Again, replace Kaine with someone younger who understands how to use the latest technology to mobilize voters, and then start the 2012 get-out-the-vote preparations RIGHT NOW! The 2010 Democratic turnout was lousy (yeah, yeah, it was an off-year election, I know - hooey) and 2012 MUST be more like 2008. Young people could control this country - if only they would vote!

The honorable thing to do is step down and acept responsibility for losing the House. Let a new face take over. Pelosi is one of the main reasons why the Democrats took a beating. She is perceived as the classic millionaire liberal, with a terrible public image.

Go for it. I seriously hope the democrats swallow that poison pill and vote her in as leader again. The more time she spends in front of the camera over the next couple years, the better chance Republicans have of winning more seats in Congress and the White House in future elections.

Seriously, the woman has a huge ego that doesn't let her hear that we the people don't want her there anymore and give someone else a chance.

It is clear that Pelosi does not get it. The GOP success in the House of Representives on November2 was a referendum
against her, personally, Ried personally and Obama totally. American people are tired of the spending. We want ckear
thinking common sense government. Obama will not get elected in 2012. He is over his head. Michelle Obama is the
popular one. She is also smart and has common sense. We would get a woman as President, while the President
could be "Mr. Mom". What a great idea!!!! They would not even have to move.
