Obama calls for cooperation

(CNN) – Days after Republicans captured massive gains and control of the House of Representatives, President Obama is calling on both parties to work together in his weekly radio and internet address.

"The campaign season is over," he says in the address. "And it's time to focus on our shared responsibilities and work together."

The president specifically calls for swift action on extending the tax cuts, except for the highest-bracket earners. Republicans have demanded extending the 2001 Bush tax cuts for all brackets.

"We'd be digging ourselves into an even deeper fiscal hole and passing the burden onto our children," he says, referring to the GOP position.

The "campaign season is over". Wow, finally, after non-stop campaigning since the 2008 primaries. Now when does the governing (of all the people, not just the friends of the administration) actually start?

Yeah, your cooperation in dismantling the past two years. We hear this morning GM is getting another 45 BILLION in tax credits as part of the TARP bill. What else did you and all those idiot lawyers writing the legislation hide in all those pages? Imagine that everyone missed 45,000,000,000.00 in the TARP bill, what did they not catch in the Health Care bill ? We are in for a world of hurt until 2012.

President Obama appears to remain clueless as to the economic cost burden of his government expansion and social justice agenda, where does he think the money comes from to fund all those positions and give aways with their golden healthcare plans and 85% pension plans? He and the Pelosi, Reid led Congress have spent more than ALL combined Presidents up to his Administration leaving us somewhere in the 13 trillion dollar debt range. If you take that in one dollar bills and lay it out edge to edge you would cover 53,000 square miles, a payment of $13 dollars per second for 36,000 years, that doesn't count interest and that gives you an idea of how large our debt is and what a threat to National Security the Spendocrats have placed us.

    God Save Us by 2012!

I think we should let the tax cuts for the richest American to expired, since it was their partners in the business world that sent our jobs overseas. These people who wanted to maximize their shareholders wealth by being unpatriotic and sent our jobs overseas, now India our doing the jobs that America people can do. While everyone blaming President Obama for us losing approximately 800,000 jobs per month for the entire year of 2008 and 1st quarter of 2009, He is doing the best he can to open up markets for us to be able to exports more of U.S. goods, so that we can increase our job opportunities here in America. Mr. Boehner, where are the jobs? Can you please help the President to bring back our jobs that were lost to us in 2008 and 1st quarter of 2009, instead of trying to repeal the health care bill that you and your friends from the Republican side have demonized? We should never forgive them for sending our jobs overseas.

Amazing! He told the Republicans to shut up, sit down and move to the back of the bus before this election. Now he wants "cooperation?" He is the one that will have to "cooperate". The people have spoken, and it wasn't in his favor.
