Mumbai, India (CNN) - U.S. President Barack Obama struck a defiant tone in the first speech of his trip to India, saying Saturday that his stay at the Mumbai hotel attacked by terrorists two years ago is "absolutely" intended to send a message.
"We visit here to send a very clear message that, in our determination to give our people a future of security and prosperity, the United States and India stand united," Obama said at Mumbai's famous Taj Mahal Palace hotel, which came under siege in November 2008.
Are the fools on the right still spreading the 200 million a day lie, or have the facts actually penetrated their feeble brains yet.
President Obama is right to secure out ties with India, where one can receive an honest day's work for an honest day's pay.
That's an offer you can't refuse!
Just to clarity about the $200M a dollar trip. Some blogger in india started to spread the rumor which IS FALSE. faux news who would know a truth if it hit all of them in the face reported it.
Once again faux news IS WRONG and LYING and creating problems and adversity where they should be none.
Kudos to having the new Cuban-American Senator make the pretty speech, but it sounds like more of the same. Nothing new here. Clinton was the only President in the last 30 years to balance the budget. It's Republicans that have increased the deficit and spurred further incursions of our lives (ie Patriot Act, FISA). If they had their way there would be no regulation and consumer predation would be at an all time high.
He speaks of American exceptionalism, but doesn't acknowledge how far we've fallen. We were, at one point in time No.1 in all categories, we could be again. It's not going to happen by eliminating the middle class. They word from McConnell is no compromise. How is America to reclaim it's greatness if there is no cooperation? Grats America you keep voting these do-nothings in.
yeah and they're spening $200 million a day according to that pinhead Bachmann
