Palin's unfavorables reach all time high

(CNN) - She's coming off a successful midterm election season, is on the heels of releasing a second book, and about to star in an adventure-packed reality television show, but Sarah Palin's poll numbers are going in the wrong direction.

A new survey by Gallup suggests more than half of all Americans (52 percent) now hold a negative view of the former Alaska governor, the highest unfavorable rating Palin has ever registered in the organization's polling. Her 40 percent favorable rating meanwhile ties her lowest score in Gallup history, registered in the fall of 2009 shortly after she quit her post as governor.

Palin also registered a 40 percent favorable rating in CNN/Opinion Research Corporation national poll conducted just before the midterm elections. According to the CNN survey, 49 percent said they had an unfavorable opinion of Palin.

The Gallup poll indicates that Palin seems to have lost her biggest chunk of support among independent voters – the voting bloc that was crucial in handing Republicans control of the House on Election Day. Her favorability among those voters has dropped 8 points since the summer, according to the poll, from 43 percent to 35 percent.

But as independents appear to be growing wary of Palin, more Republican voters are entering her fold. Her favorability among the GOP rank and file has climbed five points since July to a sky-high 80 percent – a rating that any aspiring GOP White House aspirant would love to claim.

Meanwhile, as has always been the case, few Democrats give Palin high marks – 15 percent now compared to 18 percent in July.

The survey, conducted from November 4-7, surveyed 1,021 adults and carries a sampling error of 4 percentage points.

So what. Big deal. Who takes CNN polls seriously? I don't give it an ounce of credibility. ZERO.

We can only hope the voting American continues to see the truth with this psuedo public servant / celebrity but stranger things have happened and it could all go in the wrong direction.

As much as I dislike this IDIOT, Democrats really need her to run against President Obama so he can win so Democrats will support this Republican in the primaries to become the Republican Candidate for President. "You betcha".

  5. Former Republican, but never again!

80% of Republicans give Palin a favorable rating. That's one reason why I left the party at age 59!

Nothing shocking here. Constantly whining and criticizing and taking potshots, while refusing to articulate an actual position on anything, gets tiresome and boring. Even that nice package of T&A can't hide the facts. She quit on the citizens who elected her amid of sea of ethics complaints/violations, and she struck gold in the land of celebrity. All she does to enhance her stature is fatten her bank account by being America's Hottest Crank. The act had grown old long ago, and anyone who thinks Sarah is elect-able or even serious about trying for elected office is delusional or just plain retarded. The name of her autobiography is "It's Not Complicated: How to Fake Outrage and Laugh All the Way to the Bank."

The only surprise is that her unfavorables aren't higher. But then again, there are a lot of morons in the US.

It is about time the American people wake up and see what this woman is like . Nothing but hate and lies coming out of her ever day. And this will continue until she takes her last breath.

Would you people get over this crap that this woman will be the Republican nominee!!!
This is Republicans you are talking about, do you really think these old white men will put a woman in charge???
Oh please, it makes an interesting story for CNN because we all comment on it, but Sarah has as much chance of being the Republican nominee as Glen Beck does in being a Democratic nominee.

Romney will try to play both sides of the field, old corporate Republicans and the Tea Partiers which will make him lose votes with both, and they will be left with Huckabee, who is the least insane person in that wretched party, but since Obama mopped the floor with the Clintons (something not even the Bushes could do), Huckabee will be a piece of cake.

It's good to see that the number of Americans who despise Palin is growing rapidly. Most Americans recognize trailer trash when they see it.

I don't know who does these polls or the people they call but out of my friends, family and co workers I can't readily find one person, who likes this woman.
I've taken my own "poll" of the above imbecile and it's 98% negative and about 2% in favor of the number one plant of the AK IPs.
What scares me if those numbers are correct is that this pinhead can run for president and win because Americans are that stupid. The shrub, while not really elected but appointed, gave us eight years. The silver lining is that he never received the attention that this woman is receiving and pretty much it's ALL BAD!!! She is an IDIOT!!!!!!!

Very successful election 🙂 🙂 pleeeeeeeeease. She lost in her own backyard of AK where she can see Russia but not that the "good people of Alaska" are sick and tired of her.

The Teapublicans continue to flock to Palin while the Independents run from her like crazy. This is great news for us Democrats. You just know she is going to be the Teapublican Presidential candidate in 2012, assuring another 4 years of the Obama presidency! Sarah Palin, the gift that keeps on giving!

I am an Independent who voted Republican in 4 out ot 6 presidential races. That said , I am run of those Independents running like crazy, I find this woman complete sham..... Mayor of a town smaller than I live in, that left in drowning in a sea of red ink. Governor of a state that gets$1.98 in Federal aid for every dollar they give ...... A bad mother, one of the most hateful Christians I have ever scene and not very bright. I tried to listen to a speech she just gave , it was screeching about giving cookies to kids in a private school because PA public schools are thinking of banning sweets. Nice Palin, 1/3 of kids are obese in America , she was rambling about freedom of cookies choices. the school has a right to not give out pure sugar.... No one said the kids could not bring sweets. GADS what an idiot when she started on Palins kid on Dancing on Stars I gave up...... I think shes nuts

I am sure she is a very nice lady....but she will never be a leader. She has gotten more eduated on things since the 08 election but this is a women who left her position as Governor she said because of law suits taking her away from the job but I think she saw a way to pad her pocket book with all these speaking engagement. Like I said she probably is a very nice person but she is no leader. There will be someone else come along that will steal this limelight she is in at this time and then we will say....whatever happened to Sarah Palin.

Until this midterm repudiation of the Obamanation, I couldn't understand why liberals and Dems were so incredulous over Palin's popularity. NOw I fully understand why she became your worst nightmare. She was, is and will be, the single most important catalysis in energizing the Republicans. Guess what? She won't get the nomination in 2012 but the Republican who is nominated will win by a (another) landslide.
