Likely chief of Armed Services panel opposed to defense budget cuts

Washington (CNN) - The congressman who will likely take charge of the House committee that controls the Pentagon's wallet has no intention of seeing the defense budget shrink.

"Cutting defense spending amidst two wars, is a red line for me and should be a red line for all Americans. You do not need to be a policy expert to realize that investment is key to maintaining a robust defense" Rep. Howard "Buck" McKeon, R-California - currently the ranking member of the House Armed Service Committee - told an audience at the Foreign Policy Institute on Monday.

When are the Republicans going to wakeup and recognize that they allowed George Bush, Dick Cheney, and Donald Rumsfeld to push the United States into two wars that we had no business entering. Those blunders were a colossal waste of American Tax Dollars. Now, the Republicans want more defense spending. Well, I guess we can cut Social Security, Medicare, and VA Benefits, as long as those folks don't mind.

ROTFLMAO – The RepubliCAN'Ts want their cake and eat it too!!!

They want to keep TAX CUTS in place for the RICH and FAMOUS – they want to reduce the deficit magically – they want to CUT spending, but NOT include defense cutting – they want to end earmarks but not in their state – they want to repeal health care only to pass it again- they want to overturn financial reform because it’s too strict on corporations – they want to impeach Obama for no reason – BUT YET, they have NO IDEA on how to do it!!!!

They will drain the poor/middle class – they will make the RICH, richer!! This is getting so obvious aobut what the RepubliCAN’Ts are all about – It’s also getting very interesting.

COUNTDOWN: 47 days left until GOP takes over and our JOBS come back dropping the unemployment rate by a WHOLE POINT by the end of January!!

In the meantime, I am N2 Moving America Forward with our current leader, President Barack Obama!!

Ah yes, the two wars that Republicans have been paying for with, what, credit? I remember the halcyon days of the surplus... In 2000.

Here is something that I found weird in the Marines....

..when I joined, we had our own Marine cooks...

...when I got out, we had civilians, who got paid more than we did (all Marines), who were our cooks...
...from 1775 until 2001, we were able to make our own food, but OUTSOURCING to private companies, which seems to be in the Republican blood took care of that too, not to mention increased expenditures...

...now I'm all for taking care of the troops, but the food was worse when civilians made it...

...and why does an Air Force airman (E-1) have to have his own room with a supplied TV, cable or satellite, his/her own refrigerator, when a Sergeant Marine (E-5) is still only required to have a cot and one meal a day (this is what is required of the Marine Corps to provide for it's Marines, but most of them do get a room with 2-3 other room-mates and 3 meals a day)...just asking...
