'Sarah Palin's Alaska': Running for president on reality TV?

Washington (CNN) - Can Sarah Palin see 2012 from her house? You betcha.

"Sarah Palin's Alaska," a reality TV show that follows the adventures of the former governor and her family in their home state, debuted Sunday night on TLC.

The program, showcasing the 2008 Republican vice-presidential candidate as a rugged outdoorswoman, spotlights Palin's megawatt persona - just in time for the 2012 campaign.

Maybe reality is better than the Non-reality shots we get of other candidates with their loving families or hard at work at their desk. The only difference I guess would be they never show the mistress.

Palin has become the only potential presidential candidate in the history of the United States to get a TV network to pay her for an eight-week image-enhancing campaign. Forget the political gurus who charge millions to make commercials which candidates actually pay for. What fools!" All while.. Bambam….. spends a fortune to look like a the dope we know he is, in front of the entire whole world.

Even the samrter Lefties know she's coming on like a moose stampede. Snark away, it's only helping her!!

Does this mean that ALL potential presidentail candidates must have equal time on TV? Who gives a poop about this back-woods, white-trash hillbilly and her frightening herd? Besides her ability to disturb the wilderness, I can't figure out what exactly is so special about this person?

This all goes well with the idea that Sarah Palin is not the typical Washington Politician. We don't need more typical. We don't need another arrogant lawyer. We don't need someone walking their party line and working for the party instead of the people of the country.

We need someone with clear values and a determination to make the government work for the people instead of the politicians and their political party agenda. And I am sure America is ready for a woman in the Oval Office. This is interesting and I like the way it is developing. A woman with original ideas can be very powerful.

Reality TV show is not the usual Road a serious person takes to reach the White House. Wake up folks. This woman is so smart and has a know-how, how to make money. She tasted the 2008 bid and understood how difficulties it is to reach the Oval Office. She understands there are a lot of tough interviews/debates ahead and even tougher than those of 2008. Can anyone help me to understand how this TV show will help her to acquire any knowledge!!. She is very known everywhere including her entire family. Was there any need of letting the entire world know who they are and what they do???? She is there to dig out the money where it is hidden.

This is all to keep the public to remember her. I don't think that she has learned enough to be president. Besides, would she quit part way through the term like she did with Alaska? That is a serious concern for me among others.

@Four and The Door - it may seem great to have someone who is not "a typical politician," but there is something to be said for someone who has a full brain of learning in her head. She has fail to show that she is more than an ideaologue. I have yet to see that she has original ideas. All of what I have heard is more of the same of old GOP lines. Businesses don't count taxes if they are going to start up or not. They think about how they can provide a service or product and make sure they can get a line of credit. That is a bigger problem. Taxes are an after thought for many people and businesses.

I am a self proclaimed liberal and Sarah Palin scares me. She spews lies and misinformation like a gospet and those on the right just scoop it up and eat it. This woman quit her job as AK gov for what because it got to hard? Cry me a river, she keeps claiming to politicians to "man-up" well if that is true then she should have tucked in her shirt and did the job the AK people elected her to. Instead those of you on the right have fallen for her hook line and sinker thinking she actually cares anything about you or this country, she is one of the most narcisitic self loving persons around and people think she cares one iota for anything other than herself. There are better canidates out there Mitt Romeny and even Mike Huckabee they actually stand for more than this woman, I may not agree with them or vote but they at least have some decency and class.

  9. Whatever

She has not and does not share ORIGINIAL ideas!!! She repeats the usual talking points. She did not COMPLETE her term as governor!!! I would not waste my vote on her. She always touts the Consitution but feels she can dictate who can live near her – - buy up the property around you instead of building a 14 ft fence (that she thinks will help the border situation). She is powerful to a small segment of people.

She will probably win the Republician primary because that is the base she draws but I do not think she will win the general election unless everyone drinks whatever they are serving!!!!! NO THANKS!!!!

  10. Nancy Pelosi, the wicked witch of the west, the DemocRAT gift that just keeps on giving

Thank you for my daily does of Sarah Palin! It is the antidote to Nancy Pelosi's picture. I eagerly look forward to the day she passes the gavel and is officially fired from Speaker of the House.

How may times can the American people be BSed the same way? Reciting the mantra of "God, Family and Country" does not make you a better person or make people who do not think like you bad people. This woman is who she is – an extremely ambitious person who has a knack for manipulating the hungry 24/7/365 media cycle and who will say and do whatever she has to to make as much money as she possibly can and maybe someday try to get elected to some office. Those that chose to make her into anything more or less, are really not seeing the picture. In five years she will be less known than Dan Quayle, who actuaaly was eelcted as VP.

Real Americans that hunt and fish don't have the entire family outfitted in new clothes for every single shot on film. It is very easy to tell that they are not experienced outdoor enthuiasts, just one more of the many lies this family portrays. This is show is so fake for anyone that is truly an outdoorsman, all hype and distorted scripted BS

Based on the debates 2 1/2 years ago where she held her own and in my opinion tore up Joe Biden, a Washington politician with many years of experience. But debates are at least a year away and she is doing the right things now, developing a strong following and using creative means to become familiar to people.
