Fox News chief: Obama's 'socialism' left of France

(CNN) – Fox News Chairman Roger Ailes isn't holding back when it comes to his opinion of President Obama, saying in a recent interview that he espouses a version of "socialism…too far left" even for some European countries.

"The president has not been very successful," Ailes told Howard Kurtz, the Washington Bureau Chief for the Daily Beast and a CNN contributor. "He just got kicked from Mumbai to South Korea, and he came home and attacked Republicans for it. He had to be told by the French and the Germans that his socialism was too far left for them to deal with."

The comments constituted part of Ailes' argument that Fox News is a fair and balanced news network that criticizes the president not because he is a Democrat but because the network merely reflects the fact that Obama "just has a different belief system than most Americans."

Meanwhile, Ailes added that it has always been his network's policy to "be more direct" in challenging commander-in-chiefs, no matter their party affiliation.

He also suggested the rest of the news media is only now beginning to report accurately on the president.

"He's had 3,000 press secretaries since he got into office," Ailes also said. (For the record, Robert Gibbs has been Obama's only press secretary so far.) "He's making it harder for the press to make him look good. When the press falls in love, they fall in love hard. They're like teenagers in love. It's like the old Frankie Lymon song, 'Why Do Fools Fall in Love?'"

Ailes also came to former President George W. Bush's defense, saying Obama has relentlessly attacked the "poor guy."

"This poor guy, sitting down on his ranch clearing brush, gained a lot of respect for keeping his mouth shut. I literally never heard an Obama speech that didn't blame Bush," he said.

"Attacks?" Really??? Please. Also, love your parenthetical "For the record, Robert Gibbs has been Obama's only press secretary so far." Guess you didn't get Roger's apparently-too-vague message that most of the press corps have effectively served as Obama's spokespeople for the majority of his stint as a public figure.

Fox ENTERTAINMENT chairmen Roger Ailes wouldn't know what socialism is if it bit him in the _____.

NEWSFLASH – One of your correspondents is a socialist. I'll give you a hint-she's the EX-governor of Alaska who raised taxes and didn't even bother to do away with the state socialistic dividend program which she benefits from still today.

Fox News Entertainment has proved time and time again that it lies and is merely just for entertainment.

I wonder if this living, breathing Soviet anti-Capitalist stereotype from the 1920s realizes that France isn't a socialist country, and that their current leader is a conservative?

Fair??? Legitimate criticism, I have no problem with. But fair??? His words just told everyone they are NOT fair. Words like "kicked from Mumbai to South Korea" Socialism, 3,000 press secretaries (when only one has been there), then again, I have no problem defending Bush on certain things (even though I didn't vote for him), but when you start using words like, "poor guy sitting on his ranch..........

And can anyone tell me what programming, ANY program on Fox doesn't lean or is not all the way to the right? Not a single one. Every single person that has a show on Foxnews is on the right or is GOP. Almost every show is dedicated to trying to bring down democrats and puts the GOP in the good light. Name one that doesn't. O'Reilly always uses words "left loons (and there are some), but NEVER calls out anyone on the right when they say or do stupid things. I would respect them more if they used the words "Voice of the Conservative". That would be more accurate.

To all my islamic brothers and to all minorities in this country , now is the time to stand up against this part of white America , those whites who completely and utterly killled any peace here and abroad it's time we make this country inour image , not an image of white america buit an image for all americans to be proud of .....some white americans are leading us to our doom , espcially the ones that hatve a disdain for anyhting that's not white . We need to kill their sense of entitlement . The constant blame of the first African American President has to end but it's all a smoke screen , that's how they operate . When one race points out how evil they are they then in turn blames everyone else , they have beeen doing this for years, DO not forget the eveil that this race has transgressed against us all , never forget ! And who care if CNN doesn't post this , there's always other sources whom welcome the truth and facts !

We're you expecting Fox News to NOT be biased?

The network is an arm of the GOP, and everyone knows it.

Fox News (Faux Knews) is so devisive that it borders between political commentary and pure comedy. It is surely far to the right of any "News" agency. It has been descibed as the publications office of the GOP for years and as of late has moved further to the right yet.
Fox news has lost any credibility as a news orinisation but has put a lot of competition on the "Daily Show".
