Reid and Boehner meet for first time since election

Washington (CNN) – Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and expected Speaker-to-be Rep. John Boehner met Wednesday morning for the first time since the election.  The unannounced meeting the two men who will lead the next Congress took place in Reid's office suite in the Capitol.

Aides to the Nevada Democrat and the Republican from Ohio said the two leaders agreed neither office would provide advance notice of the meeting or any read-out of what they discussed.

The ability of Reid and Boehner to forge a working relationship could play a major role in whether much gets done in the new Congress. One key challenge for them will be melding competing House and Senate bills into legislation that both the Republican-controlled House and the Democratic-controlled Senate can adopt.

Dang – and the President's meeting was cancelled??????

Well, I am happy they met – I am glad the meeting will be kept secret – and they both know that if anything needs to get done, they would have to agree and that is when it gets sticky.

Not to worry READERS – someone will LEAK OUT what the meeting was about and we will see it here first on CNN!!!

Let's continue to Move America Forward – not BACKWARDS – with our current leader, President Barack Obama!

Boo-ner rose to fame through rich white males. That population (thank God) is dying out. He will never be re-elected because minorities will find out they will NOT be able to relate to him. Please Senator Reid keep doing what you're doing. These "thieves" will soon be extinct. Please don't let this abomination of a man intimate you.

I hope Harry gave Boner the heads-up that he would be saying NO to anything that came out of the House. "Afterall John, it seemed to work for you. Given the election results, the people themsleves seem to be enamored of that strategy. So I think I'll give it a try."

The 2006. the 2008 or the 2010 election. Seems like neither Reid, Pelosi or Obozo was ever very keen to meet with Republicans, blast them, demean, demonize them, but never talik with them. That is part of the democrat liberal disease.

I remain to find it unbelievable that Horrible Harry remains the Senate majority leader, he is only surpassed in his unpopularity by Nancy Pelosi and Barrack Obama. Hopefully, 2012 will follow in step with this last election cycle only with more qualified TEA Party members stepping up to challenge career incumbent politicians for their seats. America wants change and I am not talking the pan handling change that many in the once greatest Nation on earth have now been reduced to living on! The pendulum has begun its reverse swing...hopefully it isn't too late.

Grow a spine, Harry! The vast majority of Americans want the tax cuts for the ultrarich to expire, not extend.
