Ailes: NPR 'Nazi's,' Jon Stewart 'crazy'

(CNN) – Another day brings another round of fun quotes from Roger Ailes, the chairman of Fox News.

Yesterday, in part one of the Daily Beast's interview with Ailes, the Fox chief said Obama's "socialism was too far left" for France and Germany.

Now in part two of the interview we see Ailes setting his sights on Comedy Central's Jon Stewart and NPR's recent firing of journalist Juan Williams.

Calling Stewart "crazy," Ailes said the popular comedian's career revolves solely around exploiting the public's polarization – the same charge, by the way, that Stewart makes about Fox News.

"He loves polarization. He depends on it. If liberals and conservatives are all getting along, how good would that show be? It'd be a bomb," said Ailes.

"He hates conservative views. He hates conservative thoughts. He hates conservative verbiage. He hates conservatives," a definitive Ailes added.

Ailes also tore into Stewart's recent "Restore Sanity" rally on Capitol Hill, saying "don't give me a social speech on the steps of the Washington Monument. Don't lapse into non-comedy."

But the Fox News chief saved his heaviest fire for NPR, which dismissed Williams last month after he said he felt uncomfortable around some Muslims on airplanes in the days after September 11.

"They are, of course, Nazis. They have a kind of Nazi attitude," Ailes said of NPR. "They are the left wing of Nazism. These guys don't want any other point of view. They don't even feel guilty using tax dollars to spout their propaganda. They are basically Air America with government funding to keep them alive."

NPR spokeswoman Anna Christopher told the Daily Beast that "we will let Mr. Ailes' words speak for themselves."

all this guy is doing is sarcastically repeating what his critics say about him...and he's the crazy one...? it just goes to show how delusional the left is. they believe whatever propaganda they're told and march goose-step with their leaders like...ah.. um... Nazis

Seriously, Ailes. Why are you sullying the reasonable Conservative agenda with this hogwash? I disagree with a lot of what NPR does, just like I disagree with a lot of garbage on Fox News and CNN and NYTimes. But they fired Juan Williams because they thought he made a remark hateful to a group of people. Was it the right choice? I don't think so, but I can see why they did, and why other people might feel differently. But does that make them NAZIs? No. To even compare them as such is a disgrace and disrepectful to the horrors that entire groups of people suffered under the real Nazis.

Ailes looks, acts and speaks like that fascist Mussolini.

Obama isn't at all socialist...the man is so moderate that he's practically republican. A socialist would never have given trillions in tax-payer money to bail-out 'too big to fail' corporations and the fascist financial industry. A socialist would send Bernanke, Gates and Geithner to Guantánamo.

Further, Jon Stewart is conservative. Stewart is simply anti-fascist. He's reserve in his political criticism.
All Stewart really does is highlight hypocrisy. He doesn't get on FOX news for being right-wing, if you pay attention you'll see that Stewart shows clips of FOX anchors saying one thing today and the opposite yesterday. He points-out inconsistencies in rhetoric which come from unmitigated bias.

It is Ailes and FOX who are crazy. They are so in favor of extreme right-wing control that their chairman is blind with hate for anybody who isn't a card-carrying neo-con. Thus are Ailes and FOX able to say such ridiculous things like Obama is a socialist and Stewart is a crazy hater.

Ailes and FOX News are embodiments of fascism. They are yellow-journalism incarnate. They ought be ashamed of their bloated presence and purely ignorant presentations.

Thank you Ailes. You are proof positive that rightwingers' diarrhea of their minds and morals extends likewise to their mouths. Today's self-styled 'conseravtives' should have their DNA tested for the genes that make them so desease-resistent despite all the crap and refuse that they surround themselves with.

"Nancy Pelosi, the wicked witch of the west, the DemocRAT gift that just keeps on giving

Tellin' it like it is, minus the PC speak!! Way to go Roger! NPR **IS** run by a bunch of leftist loons that shouldn't be getting one cent of government money. This is simply NO justification for it especially when the country is broke. If the government isn't funding Fox News to the tune of nearly a half a billion dollars, why is it doing it for NPR? And why is George Soros funding NPR as well? The guy is dangerous and our government is in bed with him by funding the same group of hate filled leftists."

Hey guys, Glenn Beck's posting on our forum! We should feel honored.

Unconscianable, without honor , untrue, an incredible insult to the victims of Nazis, this man , his master Murdoch , and the rest of the rest of the fake news goons at Fox News are creating a horrible false reality based on lies. Shame on Ailes!

Too funny, his Americo-centric perspective. In the rest of the world they consider the left-wing in the US to be "moderate conservative" - the US doesn't even know what true left wing politics is! The USA thinks the democrats are left and the progressives are way left - hardly! USA is not the center of the world, take a look around and know of what you speak!

Wow. This is absolutely ridiculous. I'm just going to skip over all the irony here and go to the point that this guy has no idea what he's talking about. He has no idea what a Nazi even is, and using it as an insult is just down right idiotic and inappropriate. At first I thought Fox News just did bad reporting. Now I know it's this lunatic directing them.

Why can't I have a moderate party to vote for? Ugh.

You libs are just ridiculous–open your eyes and see that FOX is telling the truth. I laugh hysterically that people actually say that MSNBC and all the other lib media tells the TRUTH? how can you people be SO DUMB? Keep being sheeple, and you'll be led right to the slaughter.

  14. Conservatives are stupid.

Hey dumb dumbs, do you know the exact amount of $$ NPR receives from the CPB? It's around 15%. That's not much.

Also, Fascism and Socialism are not interchangeable. They are different words. Also? There are no, ZERO, ZIP, NADA correlations between the Third Reich (for the dim, NAZIS) and NPR. History books. They're really informative! Pick one up! You may learn something....... Though I suggest a remedial reading course and some fundamental phonics before embarking on that journey, dumb dumbs.

OMG. Keep this guy talking...PLEASE. He's freekin nuts. He even had Hannity citing "anonymous sources" (that came from some batsh-t crazy anonymously sourced article on NewsFlavor's site) for the proposition that Obama has become totally "unhinged' and does nothing but watch ESPN, rant at staffers, fight with Michelle, etc. etc. Right. "Anonymous WH Insider magically tells conservatives everythign they ever wanted confirmation of with respect to Obama's unfitness to be POTUS...story at 11." Ailes is a massive danger to society, and his little troupe of brownshirt media clowns are not far behind. But hey...if it will sell advertising to a couple million people to simply fabricate everything you and they wish to be true and atlk about it as if it's fact, why not, right? All that matters is the profit.

I really wish the American people would pay attention to politics. They would see the Republican Party for what it really is. If Republicans would pull themselves away from Fox propaganda and their pundits and listen to NPR they might see the world differently. I have listened to the left and right pundits and feel NPR really tries to be unbiased but is left leaning.

As for what he is saying, it’s just mud slinging and he hopes people believe his propaganda.

Jesse in Texas- 100% correct. An exact duplication of Nazi Germany and their lead up to an attempt at world dominence. The USA is in deep trouble unless the people wake up.

Another right-wing dingbat who looks like Porky Pig. Limbaugh, Beck, Rove, Cheney, and now Ailes. Lots of pig at the right wing pig trough. Too many obese white men with far more power than wisdom.

That's what the real winners of the right-wing hate-and-paranoia machine look like. They look like Porky Pig in an expensive suit; they don't look like you.

Actually, I must apologize to Porky Pig for the insult I have done hime by likening these swine to him.

Listen people, only the "Nazis" were "Nazis." Using it in any other way dilutes the meaning and insults those who died at the hand of the Nazis and those who died fighting them.

Is this the day of double speak? First Ailes, then Sarah Palin new book leaks that she hates American Idol (never mind DWTS?). And she says Levi was out to get media attention to feed his ego, and AWOL during Bristol's labor. The news from the right wing nut jobs is getting weirder every day. Full on freak show with a double dose of hypocracy thrown in.
