(CNN) – Another day brings another round of fun quotes from Roger Ailes, the chairman of Fox News.
Yesterday, in part one of the Daily Beast's interview with Ailes, the Fox chief said Obama's "socialism was too far left" for France and Germany.
Now in part two of the interview we see Ailes setting his sights on Comedy Central's Jon Stewart and NPR's recent firing of journalist Juan Williams.
Calling Stewart "crazy," Ailes said the popular comedian's career revolves solely around exploiting the public's polarization – the same charge, by the way, that Stewart makes about Fox News.
"He loves polarization. He depends on it. If liberals and conservatives are all getting along, how good would that show be? It'd be a bomb," said Ailes.
"He hates conservative views. He hates conservative thoughts. He hates conservative verbiage. He hates conservatives," a definitive Ailes added.
Ailes also tore into Stewart's recent "Restore Sanity" rally on Capitol Hill, saying "don't give me a social speech on the steps of the Washington Monument. Don't lapse into non-comedy."
But the Fox News chief saved his heaviest fire for NPR, which dismissed Williams last month after he said he felt uncomfortable around some Muslims on airplanes in the days after September 11.
"They are, of course, Nazis. They have a kind of Nazi attitude," Ailes said of NPR. "They are the left wing of Nazism. These guys don't want any other point of view. They don't even feel guilty using tax dollars to spout their propaganda. They are basically Air America with government funding to keep them alive."
NPR spokeswoman Anna Christopher told the Daily Beast that "we will let Mr. Ailes' words speak for themselves."

This man obviously has no real argument. In modern American political and cultural discourse, the lazy, cowardly and feeble-minded, on the left and the right, are the ones who reach for the "nazi" label when they have nothing else of substance to offer.
How do you fox cult supporters continue to lie to yourself. John Stewart does not make a living out of exploting polorization, he make a living exployting really bad news coverage. Fox invites it all on themselves. Steward mocks bad media and Fox just happens to be the worst of the worst. Fox has already testified in court they do not merrit being called a news station and they have come forward and said they are repuclicans that support republicans. WHat else does it take for you people to turn off the garbage?
Truly amazing. His "news" organization is a Who's Who of conservative media pundits and Republican politicians (e.g. Newt Gringrich, Sarah Palin, Mike Huckabee) on his payroll!! Come on – get real.
This man just exploded!
Same language as Hanity and Beck, these guys belong to sewage, not news community!
Fox News We Distort You Comply
So much for fair and balanced
And isn't Roger Ailes calling anyone crazy a little like a pot calling the kettle black?
Obama is too far to the left for France and Germany???? OH PLEASE!!! That is absolutely patently false. Seriously, that's not even about opinion, that's just factually incorrect.
Is Obama pushing for the universal health care system they have in Germany? No, he isn't. Is Obama pushing for giving every American 37 days of paid vacation like they have in France? Hell no! If anything, Obama is SLIGHTLY TO THE RIGHT of the conservatives on the national level in France and Germany. Look at his domestic policy positions and compare them to Sarkozy or Merkel.
Wow. He is correct on his views of Jon Stewart and NPR.
Roger Ailes opens his mouth for a second day in a row and reminds me for a second day in a row why I stay away from Fox 'News'.
Pretty sad a CEO of a network stoops this low.
... ahhh, Faux Noise... gotta love 'em - 'cause they're all stupid
He doesn't have even one-one hundreth of the intelligence John Stewart has; Ailes makes Sarah Palin look smart.
Ailes knows CRAZY thats for certain
Hannity, Ingram, Coulter, Plalin, Beck ...
This maniac should not be allowed to control a network that has a news station.
Steart is about as far-left as you can get. I hate his smug, arrogant "comedy".
Wait.. now what is a politician doing heading up a supposed news channel??? Why should I have to care WTF his opinions are if his group is supposed to be reporting news? Not that CNN or anybody else it better, but it seems that Fox is the squeaky wheel since they can't seem to stop causing trouble. I am so glad that I can get to the BBC on the internet..
Can anyone continue to deny that Fox has an agenda when its leader comes out and taks in this manner? Is this responsible journalism? It amazes me no end that such a large portion of the American people are dumb and blind to the true intentions of these powers. But then again, we are talking about the same folks that would rather watch Dancing With The Stars than engage in intelligent conversation with thier children. Cry, the beloved country.
Intelligence is dead. Long live the ignorance.
Accept myth over science.
Accept attack over compromise.
Accept lies over truths.
Accept inference over the absolute.
Accept massage over message.
Where is Marshall Macluhan when we need him?
Hmm, as someone born and raised in Germany and very aware of OUR history it strikes me that MR AILES is using leftwing and Nazis in one sentence. HISTORY 101 would have taught you differently – BUT that would require education. In Germany we have a name for someone like this.... GOEBBELS. Mr AILES maybe you should start wearing the uniform of the NAZIS. You sound like him.... Read the accounts of Goebbels in regards to the Reichskristallnacht...... What a TERRORIST you are.
OK CNN, I read you for years but this will be my last time and my first comment. Dancing With the Stars is NOT new, Sarah Palin is NOT news, you no longer report news. You have been reporting your ignorance and I for one have had enough. The dumbing down of America needs to stop. There are alot of people out here with an IQ over 50 that can think for themselves, but you don't seem to recognize that. You are now in line with Fox. Like Jon Stewart said, Fox is the best at what it does and truth has nothing to do with it.
Godwin's law invoked by the head of Fox! How comical.
The funny part is this guy is as crazy as it gets!
The scary part is they have a following among poor Americans!
THANK GOD for Fox News!!! Can you imagine if all we got was the Liberal slanted news from the LAME STREAM media??? And it's so weird that Fox News beats ALL NETWORK COMBINED in their rating. I know, isn't that odd???!!!! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"He hates conservative views. He hates conservative thoughts. He hates conservative verbiage. He hates conservatives," a definitive Ailes added to his description of "The Daily Show" host.
Change "conservative" to "liberal" and you have faux-paux and all its comentators
ho-hum. another right wing dimwit spouting off, That means Stewart and NPR are being effective in pissing him off, and that is good no matter how you look at it. Aisles is just another angry middle-aged piece of white trash terrified the country doesn't look like him anymore. Get over it, doofus.
John Stewart is a Liberal schill, lapping the vomit from the Liberal morons that run the country.
The liberal comments here make me laugh...You'll see what the country thinks about your BS in 2012.
