(CNN) - If Sarah Palin does run for president next year, at least one high profile journalist will be forbidden access to the former Alaska governor.
Speaking to Fox New's Sean Hannity in an interview to air Monday, Palin said she wants nothing to do with Katie Couric, the CBS Evening News anchor who's line of questioning facilitated one of the most memorable political foibles of the 2008 presidential campaign.
"As for doing an interview, though, with a reporter who already has such a bias against whatever it is that I would come out and say? Why waste my time? No," Palin told Hannity of Couric, according to excerpts obtained by Time's Mark Halperin.
"I want to help clean up the state that is so sorry today of journalism. And I have a communications degree. I studied journalism, who, what, where, when, and why of reporting," Palin continued. "I will speak to reporters who still understand that cornerstone of our democracy, that expectation that the public has for truth to be reported. And then we get to decide our own opinion based on the facts reported to us."
In a series of interviews with Couric authorized by the McCain campaign, Palin stumbled over a number of questions, most memorably when asked, "When it comes to establishing your world view…what newspapers and magazines did you regularly read?"
Palin appeared unable to name a single publication – a performance for which she was much maligned - and later said she found the question insulting, as well as emblematic of a liberal slant in the mainstream media.
"So a journalist, a reporter who is so biased and will, no doubt, spin and gin up whatever it is that I have to say to create controversy, I swear to you, I will not my waste my time with her. Or him," she told Hannity in the interview Monday.

Sarah Palin still fails to see that all Katie Couric was trying to do was to understand what she reads. No liberal agenda, no media bias. It is a fair question for someone who is unknown on the political stage. If Palin chooses to run in 2012, she will have to face a lot of questions that will challenge her.
I read this and laughed until I cried. All Democrats in swing states should re-register Republican before the 2012 primaries and make sure Palin is nominated so she can be CRUSHED.
Palin is an idiot. She will not give interviews to Katie Couric because of her bias but will grant interviews to Sean Hannity on Fox. What a hypocrite. Does she think that Sean Hannity does not have a bias. Of course he does and his bias is against progressiives and Democratic candidates. Caribou Barbie can flip logic on its head in a NY minute. Palin will run for the Republican nomination for President and will shut out what she calls the "lame stream media" because they dare ask her questions about her intellectual curosity and sources of information and news? What? Palin studied journalism where – on the planet Mars? She is clown.

She considers Sean Hannity to be an unbiased journalist... that says a lot about her. Are people really that stupid that they would forget that Palin quit as governor half way through her term to make money on tour? People on the extreme right say they love America, it's just half the population that they consider to be the enemy. President Palin would be the final nail in the coffin for the United States. We would become the laughing stock of the planet. She would be held in the same esteem as Idi Amin, Kim Jong Il, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and other fruit cake world leaders. The United States, in the mean time, would be reduced to a banana republic with a puppet government that caters to the very wealthy. All our enemies would have to do is bribe her and tell her she's pretty.
So, how does asking a simple question like, "what publications do you read?" equate to being liberally slanted? And if she's so against "slanting" in the media, then why does she think it's OK to work for a conservatively slanted network? It's okay for one, but not the other?
Woman, you are messed up in ways that make me want to vomit.
When is Sarah Palin going to go away? We need to start focusing on someone for 2012 and we know Sarah is not qualified. Let's get some media attention on somwbody who is.

world politics. No single paper did
so Palin hesitated in her answer.

1990. Katie Couric is from Eufaula, Alabama
but she says she is from Atlanta.
What if Palin had lied just once about
her home town.

Even if she was insulted by the question - and I doubt that was the reason she didn't/couldn't answer - she still should have answered it. I'm sure candidates get asked what they consider to be stupid questions all the time, but you still need to answer if you want to get elected. Look what happened to Sharon Angle when she refused to answer questions about foreign policy.

So it is Couric today; tomorrow, it will be someone else as long as Palin dare venture outside of the media zone that pampers to her shallowness. 2012 should be fodder for the comedy realm.

That wasn't difficult at all.
As President, you have to stand up infront of a pool of journalists and answer questions, often very difficult questions. If she is going to blacklist a journalist before she even sets foot in the White House, she doesn't belong in it.
Sarah Palin has singled out Katie Couric because Katie caught Sarah in one of her dumb moments, ie, she could not respond to a simple, straight forward question about what she reads for current events. If Couric had not asked the question, some other observant journalist would have asked the question. Palin obviously does not like Couric because she caught Palin with her pants down. Palin is more of a sensaltionist than a real knowledgable politician; she gets the voters and public fiired up over common sense sensations rather than true political realism.
Palins = the political version of the Kardashians, famous for....not having accomplished anything. Yet you can't turn on a TV without seeing or hearing about them. Sarah says she hates the media. Sarah LOVES the media. She's all over the media.
