Meghan McCain doles out Palin advice

(CNN) – Tuesday's arrival of Sarah Palin's new book brought new criticism from her former running mate's daughter, Meghan McCain.

"The way she is running for president is either sheer genius or ultimate insanity," McCain wrote Tuesday.

This is not the first time the outspoken daughter of 2008 Republican presidential nominee, Arizona Sen. John McCain has targeted Palin.

In her book "Dirty Sexy Politics," McCain called her a "Time bomb," and likened the decision to add her to the ticket to playing roulette.

Her new column for "The Daily Beast" is also Palin-centric. She said the former Alaska governor's strategy is to, "saturate the American public until we forget that anything or anyone else exists or is even an option in 2012."

That saturation she said includes her TLC reality show, "Sarah Palin's Alaska," her daughter Bristol's run on "Dancing with the Stars" and her continuous use of social media.

"Wanna run for president?" McCain said. "Quit your job, find a hot Hollywood reality-show producer, make sure your children also appear on hit reality show."

Even though Palin hasn't officially announced a presidential run for 2012, she's clearly leaving the door open and recently said she could beat President Obama in a run for the White House.

According to a Quinnipiac survey released Monday, Obama had a 48 to 40 percent advantage over Palin in a hypothetical general election match-up. The president also held an 8-point advantage over the former Alaska governor in a CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll, 52 to 44 percent.

The test of Palin's plot and possible genius will be her winning or not.
She lost last time, running with McCain.

The word genius and palin should never be in the same sentence. Palin should run if the repubs want 4 more years of Obama.

I'd sooner vote for Meghan McCain than Palin. I'd bet the young McCain has a world view and knows South Africa is its' own country on the continent of Africa. Sarah Palin doesn't know what she doesn't know.

Here is yet another example of why the partisan, liberal media has become a joke.....Meghan McCain has no qualifications whatsoever and is a total dunce but because she routinely criticizes republicans she is held up as some sort of political authority by the democrat hacks in the liberal media. I know democrats are notorious slow learners but you'd think that when their propaganda vehicle is circling the drain as it is that they would try to improve their product, but no, they just trot out more of the girlish Keith Olbermann & the manly Rachel Maddow types in their attempt to indoctrinate the weak. Good riddance.

Sarah Palin has already planted the seeds of her downfall. Her persona is a construct, specifically tailored to appeal to emotion, fine tuned to elicit group think, and driven by narcissistic hubris. What will be most telling is not the successes that she continues to rack up, but how she handles failures and setbacks. At some point the fury of a spurned narcissist will be revealed and her true colors will emerge. The only real question is how much damage will be done before she is stripped of her glory.

The way I see it the repugs are all about an ideology. They are all about trickle down economy in a global economy i wonder how much of that trickle down pie the American people is going to get.

  10. Owe Up Your Huge Mistake, McCain

I totally agree with Meghan but to be honest and sound credible her father MUST owe up his mistake in selecting her without vetting after a 15 minutes meeting. He created a monster.

Sorry, Ms. McCain. Your father's handlers were examples of sheer stupidity. He could have won the election, in my opinion, if he had run his campaign the way he should have. Instead, he listened to the handlers, and was about 5 days late in responding to any important news events and then didn't have a clear point of view. I asked several times if he was trying to throw the election, It was just unbelievable. Sarah didn't lose the election for him. He did.

Good grief CNN give us a BREAK. It is Palin everyday all day with you. Everyone knows that has an ounce of sense that Palin will not run for President because she will lose. She is using the media to get richer and to stroke her ego.

I want to wish everyone a Happy and safe Thanksgiving. Enjoy your time with your family because in the long run that is what really matters in life.

Hey Fair is Fair – - If she is not running why did she set up PACs in Iowa and NH among several other states? You don't need a PAC if you do not intend to run or maybe she is using the money for living expenses. Sounds familiar

Sarah Palin will never enter the race for POTUS. She knows that she will recieve a shalaking by ANY Democrat during debate time. With an I.Q. of 15, this BIMBO DON'T HAVE A CHANCE. She will continue to spout off at the mouth on facebook and fox(lying news station), but will NEVER MAN UP to a normal unscripted interview because she ISN'T BRIGHT ENOUGH to answer simple questions without WRITING IT ON HER HAND, LOL

  18. Stop The Palin Family Freak Show

Calling it sheer genius tells us just how bright Meghan is compared to Palin. I'm guessin' generously a mere 15 watts of intelligence between the two of them.

Mrs Palin can't play it both ways , Lame stream media , main stream media . TLC ,Dancing with the stars , Fox.
I don't find any brilliance in compromising truth for marketing " BRAND". Eventually she will have to pass the taste test with the American people. At this point and time Palin is like a trendy fast food burger , more pickle then beef !

I am sick if hearing about Palin. She is not getting the GOP nomination no matter how much Democrats wish for it. Being blonde, fat, a big mouth and the daughter of a Senator does not give you any credentials. Don't you know Senator McCain is wondering what he did wrong to have a daughter that consistantly humiliates him publicly with all her moronic comments.

Yawn. More conservative projection. The "librul meedeeah konspirisee" is 100% responsible for propping up the undereducated, uninformed screeching banshee liar that is Jabberwocky Barbie. At least Meghan can put a coherent few sentences together without sounding like she suffers from a combination of Wernicke's aphasia and Korsakoff's syndrome.

one thing about Sarah Palin is that she picks her own fights. She has little problem attacking the President, his wife even, and anybody she does not agree with or is critical of her EXCEPT people like Karl Rove, Dr. Laura, she made excuses for not going after Rush Limbaugh when he used the word "retard" and she has yet to respond to Barbara Bush either. Thus I doubt if she'll respond to Meghan McCain. Sarah attacks from her Facebook, Twitter, FoxNews or her own books where she feels safe and protected. She NEVER confronts folks face to face. And there are those who want her for POTUS. Thus the dumbing down of America continues.

Let's see... the President walks straight into the lion's den, addresses the Republican congressional caucus, and takes questions from them. Palin spends her time hiding from legitimate news outlets and will only appear on FauxNews where, excluding perhaps Chris Wallace, they spoon feed the conservatives - in some cases to the point where you have to suspect the whole interview is scripted.

I can just see Palin as president: "No, you can't make me meet with the British Prime Minister!! I don't like him! He keeps asking me tough questions!!"

Quite so, and CNN has been instrumental,if not key,in promoting this suicidal brand of insanity.
The mass media that the Half-Wit halft-termer so loves to hate has bent over backwards to endorse this woman without actually 'verbalizing' said endorsement in print.
Once respected news organizations like CNN will print article after spinned article on the doings of this creature while iresponsibly relegating real news to a blurb. Take for example the incredible free publicity that is being given to her ghost-written book on off-tangent banalities; all of the proceeds from said book will go directly into the dimwit's pocket. They will benefit no one but her Royal Dimness. Then you have the children's book written by the POTUS, the proceeds of which will be donated in it's ENTIRETY to help support the children and families of veterans, and how often is that touted? Once. A blurb.
What's happenned to this country Ms. McCain? What has your father, another jerk, unleashed upon us?
And where has the common sense that we were born with gone when we allow ourselves to be thusly manipulated by a rating$ focused media, and by this non-entity that the town drunk could out-discourse on a drunken binge?

To be fair, there are no "legitimate news outlets"...just some that are slightly more legitimate than others...Faux Noise being the epitome of illegitimate biased shenanigans and partisan hackery. Still, none of them cross the line into actual legitimacy.
