Tea Party roadmap to hit shelves

(CNN) - Senator-elect Rand Paul is coming to a bookstore near you with a Tea Party roadmap.

"The Tea Party Goes to Washington" is scheduled to hit shelves in February and outline the future Republican Kentucky senator's plan for the Tea Party. The release will coincide with the new session of Congress.

"This latest victory for Rand is also a major victory for the Tea Party, and in his new book, Rand will literally take the Tea Party to Washington," Center Street publishers said in a statement.

"We are excited to publish this blueprint for fresh ideas and approaches to fix what ails our nation," Rolf Zettersten, Senior Vice President and Publisher for Center Street said in a statement.

Ophthalmologist Rand Paul won a close election against Democrat Jack Conway to succeed retiring Republican Sen. Jim Bunning. Paul was an early Tea Party-backed candidate, and the race received national attention because of Paul's past and the feisty television ads on both sides.

Paul has already voiced his intentions to start a Tea Party caucus in the Senate.

Rand Paul wants us to live in a dog-eat-dog world, where if you don't have money, you don't have opportunity, rights, or any hope of a future.

I suggest he go live in this kind of country – North Korea comes to mind – and after an extended stay, get back to us on how that all works out.

Randroid will malfunction with then next half year. Why don't we have a story about the Teatards, led by Dick Armey and the Koch brothers, plans to boycott companies that donated to Obama or Dems? Hmmm? When will the "news" media admit that Astroturf Frankenstein really is what it is...a gaggle of useful idiots led around by their religiosity, bigotry, fear, anger, and ideoloigcal myopia to do the bidding of vast corporate interests and the GOP? It's pretty freekin simple and yet the "news" ,edia trweats it as the third rail of reporting. They want to target companies like GE and Johnson & Johnson for donating to progressive candidates or lobbying for certain legislation...despite them also having very likely donated to conservative candidates as well, etc. They just believe anything that comes out of the mouths of their chosen messiahs, no matter how ridiculous, hypocritical, hyperbolic, or devoid of factual and evidentiary support. Their cognitive dissonance is the white noise of contemporary politics and its cancelling out the voices of the sane, the rational, the educated, those who wish to look at facts, evidence, historical record and listen to scientists and true experts in order to make decisions about policy and how to plan our nation's future. The instrumentalities of information dissemination are suffocating in an ideological vaccuum. Your face is blue, CNN....when will you come up for air?

Rand the bagger, will show working Kentuckians that he has little concern for them. He will do his best to get mining safety regulations eliminated, health reform eliminated, social security and medicare benefits reduced, VA benefits reduced, Wall Street regulations eliminated, START eliminated, and all government agencies privatized. He gives the baggers a lot to cheer about.

Carrot Top is willing to stop an increase in the debt ceiling, which will cause a global monetary meltdown. It is hard to believe that one clueless republican can bring the world down. But, I am sure the baggers will cheer when they are broke and there is a world wide depression.

This guy is a new Senator. Rather than talking about a road maps he should be concerning himself in insuring his assigned bathrooms have enough TP. Thanks GOP for yet another idiot than will slow progress.

  11. Whatever

it would make more sense to wait until maybe some of his viewpoints or ideas are possibly enacted. A book deal for someone elected to office just because he is elected not that he is a proven leader or changer!!! Now the literary world has gone to Hades in a hand basket!!!! Okay Rand won a Republician seat! Nothing unusual or surprising by that is there?! LOL Come on America LOL this is too silly.

"Lowest ever: Obama job approval sinks to 39%, as even Democrats' support melts away"

"A whopping 60% now disapprove of his job, up from 51% disapproval Sept. 20."

His is a historical presidency........Historically Failed!

Oh I do hope that roadmap includes a provision that says all of us that OPPOSED the Healthcare bill MUST decline taking the federal benefits offered as a Senator or Congressman/woman. Put your benefits where you mouths are – yelling and campaigning against the Healthcare bill and the first ones in line for a hand out!! Those benefits are not mandatory and anyone can opt out!!!!!

I can't wait for the Tea Party to experience their "rude awakening". I am sure they are feeling empowered these days, but the powers to be won't be turning over their power to easily. The republicans and others surrendered to the Tea Party to get elected and now let the games begin.....................

  15. Expat American

Rand Paul can bring his Kentucky Blue Skin Tea Party to Washington; where he will soon discover that inside the beltway there is a much different environment than exists in the parking lot of the small town Dairy Queen where Palin parks her bus; and that images of racial bigotry aren’t as welcome in our nation’s multi-cultural capital as they are in the previously described parking lot.

"Tea Party roadmap to hit shelves"

And every road on it leads backwards in time. Someone tell Randroid that's a blender on his countertop, not a flux capacitor.
