Palin hits back at Barbara Bush

(CNN) - The Barbara Bush-Sarah Palin verbal spat continued Wednesday with Palin's response to the former first lady, who on Monday said she should stay in Alaska.

"I don't think the majority of Americans want to put up with the blue-bloods," Palin said in a radio interview on the Laura Ingraham Show Wednesday. "With all due respect because I love the Bushes, the blue-bloods who want to pick and choose their winners instead of allowing competition."

The former Alaska governor said she will not be suppressed by leaders of the Republican Party, who she said are ignoring "the will of the people." She also called their statements "inefficient," "unprofessional" and "immature."

Wednesday's interview coincides with the release of her new book, "America by Heart."

However, on conservative Sean Hannity's radio show Tuesday, Palin said if her 2012 candidacy were hurting the Republican Party she would step aside.

"If I get in the way of that cause, I don't need a title, I don't need a position," Palin said.

Palin has repeatedly left the door open to a presidential run in 2012, even telling ABC's Barbara Walters that she could beat Obama in the next election. In the meantime she is in the midst of a national book tour, which will include stops in Iowa and South Carolina, sites of early presidential primaries and caucuses.

Just wondering though– wasn't Barb's original remark just so reminiscent of Betty White playing Sue Ann Nivens? (If you're under 40, google (and even watch an episode or 2) "The Mary Tyler Moore" show)

I can't believe it but I'm actually agreeing with Barbara Bush! Palin is not qualified to be any kind of leader as she didn't even finish out her term as governor of Alaska. Palin's followers are those who don't know their heads from their backsides. They have a leader who is the same way.

Most people leave Palin's sort of behavior behind when they graduate from junior high school.

She doesn't have the gravitas to hold any public office. How in the world did she ever get elected to be Governor of Alaska? Why the media keeps giving her attention is astonishing. She is quite irrelevant.

A "blue blood" is one of noble birth. What is so noble about the Bush men and their personal wars at public expense? Adding Palin to the mix, they would be lucky to score a cumulative 121 IQ.

Palin is a moron, and a hypocrite. She needs to take a close look in the mirror at all the criticism she gives to journalists, the media, hollywood starlets, etc. She is the epitome of everything she supposedly hates, or wants to change. She is just a hypocrite. No wonder people from her own party can't stand her, they can see right through that witch.

A better qualification than being born in the States to become President would be an IQ and drug/alcohol test. The IQ test would disqualify her and we could have avoided the W.nightmare terms.

If she's not in favor of the Blue Bloods, then she should love Obama. Mutt, raised poor. Of course, she doesn't think through her statements. She just throws out red meat that seems good at the time.

I think if no one including myself responded to Palin stories on CNN they might get bored with writing about her. No comments no interest no more stories. With that being said I would vote for Barbara over Palin any day. The will of the people is for Palin to go away. The majority will of the people is for someone intelligent to lead.

This "red-blood" is calling Palin a twit. I would feel safer knowing that there's the Canadian buffer between her and the rest of the country.

Two years 'till the election and already the Palin fatigue is setting in. Palin is petty and juvenile and utterly unprepared for any elected office, including the one she quit so she could become a full time celebrity and nuisance. If memory serves, bears hibernate in winter. Isn't it time for Mama Grizzly to go back to her cave?

LOLOL I like how she called Barbara Bush's comments "inefficient". How are Barbara's comments "inefficient" What's wrong with this woman, how come she doesn't understand how to use fairly common terms?

Once again....... Sarah Palin does not have the temperment to be President. Thin skinned, perpetually obsessed with her enemies and craving to get back at all them, she would be like Richard Nixon in drag. Right now she only has Twitter, Facebook and Fox News, but imagine her with the power of the presidency at her disposal.

Picking a fight with the wife of a former President of the U.S.? Not classy. Not classy at all. Americans want their Presidents to have some class, and that includes ignoring unflattering comments by non-opponents and never-will-be-opponents. You've got a lot to learn, Sarah.

Sarah Palin. I agree with Barbara Bush. Please stay in Texas. I also think 40% of the people that watched your show now feel the same way. I imagine you are a really nice women and a great mother. But as a politician, you are a quack. A raging nut case. Look currently 10% of the country is are the current chosen winners. That 10% is trying to squeeze as much out of Americans that they can without having to share the wealth that the Americans helped them earn. So if the government wants to come and split that 10% and make it 30% more power to them and I hope they succeed. The largest danger to this country is poverty. The largest danger to a stable government is poverty. If enough people fall into poverty. I can reassure you that 10% will have no choice but give all their wealth because its going to be taken at gun point in a uprising. So Sara Palin. Shut up. Seriously. It must be nice to be sitting up on your high perch of perfection. Some of us don't have porches. Some of us dont have homes. Some of us bust our asses each and every day to watch someone elses dreams come true off all the hard work we put in. So if you ask me. TAX THE MOTHERS ALL YOU WANT. REGULATE THEIR PAY ALL YOU WANT. 1.66 Trillion dollars in the 3rd quarter alone. Unemployment 10.5%. Underemployed 26%. Displaced: 41%. So you tell me this. Whats your angle. As for the Americans. Well we are held hostage by the threats of big business saying if you tax us we won't hire. Dude you at least have food on your plate, a roof over your head and how many millions in jewelery, how many bedrooms. Did you know that some of the people that work so very hard for you may have holes in their walls cause it was all they could afford while earning you a 15 bedroom house. VALUES MAN. MORALS AND VALUES. WHO HAS THEM ANYMORE. Church who really follows church any more. Care for thy neighbor. What the heck does that mean to the top 10%. Nothing. Its care for thyself.

Well we know Palin will attack anyone and she just proved it. Mrs.Bush was right on this and palin wrong. Yes, maybe Mrs.Bush may want to see another one of sons in the Wh but america does not. However, there is no doubt in my mind that Mrs.Bush was talking substance than trying to pick the next president and she knows Plain has no substance and she would only hurt the republican party. Yes, she has her followers but even her followers are not watching her dumb little show anyomre. The Palin show is sinking in ratings as I knew it would. The fact is, even those who truly blindly support palin will not be enough to get her into the WH, americans will not let that happen. And Yes palin does need a title because she is trying to get rid of the one she has now, the title of " wanna be". She will always be the laughing stock of politics...

"The will of the people" have already proved that no one wants Palin around. The people have spoken – remember her and grandpa McShame lost the election! That is what the people wanted, and the "will of the people" shall once again prove in the next election that nothing has changed....we don't want her around. This American has spoken!

I'm sorry SNOW SNOOKIE, but did you really refer to someone else as "inefficient," "unprofessional" and "immature."?

Those words define you – although they leave out "ignorant, incurious, arrogant, uneducated, small minded, provincial and supercilious".

You've made your money persuading people to vote against their own self interests and selling your embarrassing brand of down-home idiocy – now please go away and count your cash before you can do any more damage.

Palin is certainly not the cream of the crop from any social or economic class, blue blood or blue collar. We have far better, more talented people on the right to represent us. She is ahead of herself if she thinks we would replace the innefectual Obama with her ignorant type. She would bring out ALL the opposition should she run, and drive away ALL the crucial independents. She appeals to the radical 25% of Americans who think Socialism is the same as Fascism, who dont want Americans who cant afford medical treatment to receive it (I guess we should just die in the streets), and think 1/4th of the worlds population who are Muslim want to overthrow our country.
