Fox News' 2012 roster

(CNN) – Five big name Republicans have two things in common- they are all considering runs for president and are each employed by Fox News.

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich serve as contributors.

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee hosts a weekend show on the network.

And after Sunday's announcement that former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, John Bolton is "considering" a run, he can be added to the list of presidential hopefuls to grace the network.

None of the prospective candidates have made official announcements, but media buzz surrounds each of them, creating a monopoly of sorts for the news network.

Media critic Howard Kurtz, who also serves as Washington bureau chief for "The Daily Beast" and host of CNN's "Reliable Sources," said the exposure on Fox allows possible candidates the chance to answer questions where "the risks are low and the payoff could be quite high."

"For a Republican presidential candidate – even someone just thinking about running – a Fox platform is gold," Kurtz said in an e-mail. "Fox News is the go-to channel for most GOP primary voters, and being a host or frequent guest is a terrific platform in a friendly environment."

How's that for fair and balanced? Faux keeps going right and right and right and spins itself into circular logic. What a waste of airwaves...

Why am not surprised. The Faux News is one of the major propaganda arms for the GOP.

How convenient for them. At least they won't have to answer any questions tougher than "How do you spell your name?" Looking at the crop of candidates the GOP is fielding, this could prove to be pretty difficult.

Hey, I have no problem with Fox employing all these potential Presidential canidates.....matter-of-fact I would be glad to see any of the CNN staff make a run for the office. I mean, think of it..... Rachel Maddow, or Keith Obermann, or Chris Matthews (Chris wouldn't have to "feel the tingle up his leg"....he could just "feel" himself)!
On second thought.....now I see why no one from CNN is running.

my uncle just came from a tour in germany, he said he went to every country in europe and every single one of them have fox news down grading obama 24 hours a day. he said the people always ask him why the the american people hate obama so much he said sometimes the only explanation he has was they are doing this because he is the first black president. alot of them also stated that they thought president obama was a good president and could not understand why the american people hated him so much. One he was put in a situation that the average president would have failed, two he accomplished long debated policies that many of american presidents have tried and fail to accomplished as a black man, three in only two years of his presidency he has accomplished more policies than most president accomplishe in their 8 year term, four he turned around an economy that was losing nearly 8 hundred thousand jobs a month etc. the people dont realize that the american economy is so huge that any thing negative or positive happends to it. it will affect every aspect of the worlds arena. fox have been on a mission to villainize this president ever since he came into office. they have the people minds in a trance by getting them mad over somthing that is not revelent, so the people will stop thinking rationally and even vote against their own interest and dont even recognize it until its too late. they are the masters of hate mungering, fear, intollerance, lies and half truth and know how to get the people mad so they can take advantage of them when they lose their rationality. fox are the world wrestling entertainment of the news broad casting, 100 percent drama and entertainment. and 80 percent fake.

I suppose this is just a coincidence. There is no political agenda at Fox News. Their owner is just a purveyor of news fit to report, with a neutral bias. I have actually heard people say that they watch Fox because it presents all sides of the issue.
By this I suppose they mean, the Fox (GOP) side and the wrong (unAmerican) side. That's Fox balance.

FAUX "News" Network is not a network, nor its it news. It is a political party bent on tearing down our country. I plan to vote in the Republican Presidential Primary in my state in 2012 (South Carolina) and will not consider any candidate with ties to this morally bankrupt organization.

    Hello Mitt!

Fox News is owned by Rupert Murdock, Mr. Murdock is not an American. Is he trying to shape and or control the Politics of America? I would never vote for anyone that is affiliated with Fox News. All of these five people are hateful and yet they profess to be Christians.

Well the Republicans got their priorities straight...let's see they have the choices between:

Dumb, Dumber, the Dumbest, the ignorant one and the Evil one...

...but that is what happens when you let the religious and corporate extremists take over your party...

A 'terrific platform' if only the word wasn't out already. Neo-cons that willfully accept the lies and conjecture of this entertainment-show-posing-as-news-channel drank the kool-aid a long time ago, so a post on Faux just adds to the delirium. For voters who actually study the news they hear, do their own fact-checking and analysis, a position on the various 'news' programs produced by Rupert Murdoch is a death knell to a candidate, because serious candidates seeking office wouldn't go there.

A Fox news platform will also be a curse of doom because it's environment is not friendly but very devisive and this country doesn't need this type of "home grown" divisiveness, it brings all the crazes out.

... but while we're at it, why does CNN insist on filing so many stories on Sarah Palin in the 'Political Ticker'? She does not hold office, lost an election, and frankly, has very little substance to add to the issues. If CNN is pursuing a strategy similar to that of Faux - 'news' as reality show entertainment, rather that informed production of facts and actions - then journalism has sunk to a whole new level. Report on real news, please, not just the clattering rancor from the cheap seats.

  21. Nancy Pelosi, the wicked witch of the west, the DemocRAT gift that just keeps on giving

And the stupid DemocRATS have all the other low rent channels that do their bidding. These whining leftists crack me up with their complaining about Fox News. They would shut down EVERYTHING that doesn't support their cause. Just like their idols Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez. They just want the American people to remain unaware of the destruction they are wreaking on this country.
